that was without the £10 million made from mcgeady though. if mcgeady goes then a deal for keane or bellamy could well be back on.

I only want to sell him if all the fee will get used. I dont think we will get to use it all. £10 million for me should be spent on Salcido and Bellamy.

Don't think so - they were at pains to stress there was zero chance of Bellamy or Keane being signed, and that the problem was wages.

We won't buy a player and put him on double the wages of everyone else. It would totally destroy morale - and we've had enough of bad morale last season.

I presume if/when Hooper is signed then that would prob be our strikers complete with Fortune, Murphy, Hooper, Rasmussen, Sammy & McGowan. Granted we may sell Sammy but Lennon may see that as our strikeforce at least till Jan

Midfield looks solid with what we have so if we did sell Aiden for £10mil & Lennon could use it to shore up the back then I wonder who he would look at.

Personally I think with the midfield looking as strong as it is McGeady could really shine this year. £10mil is alot off cash but is it better to keep one of our better players & get out title back?

 

Think this story is just to get interest in mcgeady, start a bidding war between teams in England. With the threat of him going to Moscow

Sorry but i honestly cant say Mcgeady is our best player yeh he has skills but no end product, For 9-10m we could have a even stronger team. Take the money and run.

 

it's all getting very interesting, if he stays we've got a quality player, if he goes we'll have a huge amount to re-invest in the squad so it's all good

 

I've been banging on about Cavenaghi for a while. He is not even a regular at Bordeaux and should be well within our budget.

 

agreed ! but there is no way he will be going to moscow. can only think this has come from celtic to try and intice bids from the prem for him. the bid from spartak between £8 -£10m means its a good time to sell him as that sets the price.

 

if we can get 9/10 million then i say the club should take it , Add another two or three players to what we have even now without Mc Geady and i would be delighted , a left back centre back and gk are what we need ,
