I suggest that if a bid is accepted for paddy from any club that every single one of us provide a barracade outside lennoxtown/celtic park so that paddy cant get past us until the end of the transfer window!! i will gladly volunteer to do this!! The Derry Pele Must Stay!!

well hes no where near as greedy as he used to be, lennon shouts that the every player. the point is he looks for the pass now instead of running. he has a similar playing style to messi, hes always wanting to be on the ball, he was our playmaker last night so would be on the ball a lot

Anybody know bout his status at the moment is he out injuried or what and how long.

Hate to see him go, the guys got plenty of potential and it frustrates me that he cant stay fit long enough to nail down a starting role. He puts in some great preformances when hes come off the bench, loves to run and defenders, take em on and scores a few cracking goals too.

Hes not out injured, played 84 mins last night, and was one of the better players on the pitch. His second half was better than his first, and he was passing well.

having a similar playing style to messi and being 1/10th his quality doesnt make him a good player...fortune has a similar style to drogba, that doesnt justify anything.
He is a lazy player many times last night he lost the ball and thought * it i ain't guna win it back. What kind of attitude is that for a player who was trying to prove himself good enough for a starting place. He is a good dribbler of the ball but has terrible decision making and tackles his own * player to get a shot away (last night hit the post). For me he can dribble his * laxy * to blackpool

Just cause he is 26 isn't an argument, many players have come onto their game later in their careers. If mccourt can get fit enough to las t afull season i wouldn't give a * if he lasted to 32...another 6 years of a fit McCourt..Yes please!

McCourt looks fitter these days, he could be a star for us next season, his goal was great, and was very unlucky when he hut the post. Lennon said in the '' The Sun '' that he offerd him a new deal.

the only reason i would sell him is his fitness problem! not good enough standard he has atm in time! how long has he been here now? and we are still talking about his fitness. the one thing he aint is pish! so thats daft . he has to me the best natural abilty in the league! but fitness is the key. if he got to 100% then he would be in the team all the time.

Celtic have offered a contract extension to Paddy McCourt after the 26-year-old Northern Irish winger was targeted by Blackpool.
McCourt, who was signed from Derry City in 2008, scored Celtic's second goal as they defeated Seattle Sounders 2-1 in a pre-season friendly on Sunday.
And manager Neil Lennon said: "We have offered Paddy a two-year extension and the ball is in his court.
"I'm aware there is interest, but we'd like to keep him."
Blackpool are looking to strengthen their squad after winning promotion to the Premier League in England.
And manager Ian Holloway is encouraged in looking to the Scottish market after Charlie Adam was instrumental in last season's campaign after the Scotland midfielder's switch from Rangers.
McCourt had a four-year spell in English football with Rochdale during which they rejected a £1.5m offer from Manchester City after he was linked with several top-flight clubs.
However, injuries and a loss of form led to his departure from Spotland Stadium and unsuccessful trials with Norwich City, Crewe Alexandra and Motherwell.
He moved to Shamrock Rovers for a spell cut short by their financial problems and he was sold to League of Ireland rivals Derry.
[IMG] Bullard's year-long loan move to Celtic fell through

Three years later, he was sold again, this time to Celtic, for whom he has made only five starts and 15 more appearances from the substitutes' bench despite scoring some spectacular and critically-acclaimed goals.
McCourt, whose lack of stamina appears to have counted against him, played in an advanced role behind Celtic's strikers as they won for the first time on their North American tour after two defeats.
He side-footed home to put Celtic 2-0 ahead on the hour after being set up by Milan Misun as the Glasgow side defeated Major League Soccer opponents who had been reduced to 10 men after goalkeeper Terry Boss was sent off for a foul on Georgios Samaras.
The Greek striker, himself the subject of a bid from Spanish club Hercules, subsequently scored from the penalty spot.
Meanwhile, Lennon said he knew nothing of a reported cash sweetener being offered by Hull City to Jimmy Bullard that would resurrect the midfielder's season-long loan move to Celtic.
The Scottish Premier League club pulled out of the deal because of the wage demands of the 31-year-old, whose salary Hull feel they cannot sustain after their relegation to the Championship in England.
Hull's head of football operations, Adam Pearson, had told the BBC on Friday that he hoped Bullard would find a new club before the closure of the transfer window and the midfielder was left out of the Tigers squad for pre-season friendly wins over Ferriby and York City.
"We'll review it again in a couple of weeks' time and certainly, as we get closer to the end of the window, I am not going to make statements which close the door totally," said Pearson.
"What I would say is that it is pretty obvious, for both ourselves and for Jim, it would seem to be a positive thing for him to find another club."
