Be a tough draw againest Braga, they did well in the league last year, as for the draw i think we can take them over two legs, if Celtic can grab an away goal then id fancy our chances big time back in CP, athmosphere be * hot and Braga wont know what hit them.

Anyone know what Bragas home record is like?

    Hail lads,

Another Braga supporter although like Celtic very much and pretty annoyed we are playing against each other at this point. I was hopping that one day we would meet but in the group fase. (I only saw Celtic once and was against Benfica a few years ago).
I read basically all the posts in here and many Braga supportes wrote already about our players and stuff like that so wont repeat it.
Just want to say that those two feckers that were (well) banned are probably supporters from another team... and I almost could guess wich. Kiddos anyway.
We are good people, good supporters, Braga is a nice town, very friendly, lovely food, warm weather and I am sure those that can come wont be disappointed.
I know how travelling can be expensive (I went myself to Seville, Milan and Paris to see SCBraga) but for those that are on hols or can take a few days off theres still an option. Ryanair on the 26th from Glasgow to Faro for 40£ then get the bus or train to Braga (a real pain in the * cos the journey is about 7 hours but hey we are used to do anything for our teams right?) and the return flight on the 29th from Porto to Stanstead and then to Glasgow is about 90£ altogether. So doenst look too bad does it? From Porto airport you can get the tube directly to the train station and from there the train to Braga (wich is about 50 minutes) and dirt cheap.
So I hope a good bunch of you can come and we will be here to welcome you.
Of course, although I really like Celtic, I want my Braga to win.
    Cheers,
    Maria

Sorry about our fans underestimating your team but please do not compare us to 2 diddy teams.

Portsmouth did go through to the FA Cup final. It's harsh to judge a team under administration.

At the same time Celtic struggled in Europe, lost to a Hapoel Tel-Aviv, and couldn't beat Rapid Vienna ... (but that was under Mowbray...) ... well, under Strachan we couldn't defeat AaB (Aalborg), and was blowing out the park against FC Copenhagen in the away match.

I don't take anything for granted against Braga.

We really shouldn't underestimate Braga, they look a very well organised team and had a great season last year.
However, I think that in europe we sometimes show teams a little too much respect, I know that we are capable of winning both legs if we play to our potential, we shouldn't go there and just get men benhind the ball and just hope to soak up the pressure, yes we might have to play 5 in midfield and yes a draw would be a great result but if we go too defensive it could have VERY damaging consequences, we shoud attack them from the off, if we can sneak a win or a draw it will be very hard for Braga to win at CP.
The very last thing we want is be lose 2-0 or even worse, we dont want to give ourself a mountain to climb at CP, we just need to keep it tight and pass the ball around. Personally, I would play this team for the away leg

    Zaluska

    Cha - Hoovield - Loovens - Mulgrew

    Juarez

    McGeady/Maloney - Brown - Ki - Ledley

    Fortune

I obviously dont know if McGeady will be here next week but if he is he would start, if not Maloney, Juarez has a vital role on his debut, the job of protecting the back 4 and trying to cut off potential threatening attacks by Braga, if things not working I would bring Samaras on for Fortune. Im putting faith in Ki, I think he could be a key player (no pun intended) for us, he is a footballer and might just be able to unlock what looks like a very stubborn Braga team. Come on Celtic, we can do this!!!! Please * please, get to half time with 0-0, if we concede a early goal it could turn into a nightmare and our system could be out the wall.

4-5-1 seems to be the preferred formation for teams playing away in Europe, and I think we should go with that.

If big sameras continues the form he is showing he has got to be a cert up front on his own. Midfield needs to be tight with pace and energy in the wide areas, as we may go long periods without the ball and we will need to hit them on the counter attack.

    I'd go with,

    ------------zaluska----------

    cha----rounge--hooiveld---mulgrew

    juarez-------brown------Ledley-

    --------maloney--ki--------------

    -----------sameras---------------

Assuming mcgeady is sold this week and noone is bought yet.

The registration ends on Thursday midnight but like Danny Fox last year you can add 1 more player to that squad thereafter.

I think you are having a excess of confidence. You just have to wait and see us playing. We are no longer the same Braga that fell with Hearts. A little fear would rather be more advisable ;-)
Anyway, I do really think we have a shot, a big one!!!

E que tal apoiares o Fundanense Futebol Clube, em vez de seres mais um bimbo da província a apoiar um clube de merda como o benfas!!!!
Depois queixa-te ao Terreiro do Paço, passais a vida a lamber-lhes o rabo!!!

If McGeady is still a Celtic player I can bet my house on he will not get used as it could effect his sale if he was cup-tied in europe. Would that be the case?
