I'm under no illusions about this draw, i don't know enough about this team to draw any sort of comparison with their contempories.

but to finish runners-up in the portuguese premier is a big achievment considering the pedigree of the teams they finished above!

but i'm confident as long as we get a proven goalscorer (c'mon keano!!) in before the ties.

glad to finally have a knock-out tie where the 2nd leg is at parkhead tho' thats a big bonus, the outcome will depend on the 1st leg scoreline a 1-0 defeat or a draw would be ok but a sneaky win would defo throw us odds-on!!

i think its a fair draw and we are probably just favourites in this tie (only from past european glories) lets hope we justify that tag i certainly dont feel we are going into this tie as massive underdogs like i noticed someone had previosly posted Braga have no great pedigree of note so we'll wait and see!

cannae wait love the euro nights!!

One game at a time Bhoys & Ghirls!!!
Braga will be happy with the draw...they will fancy their chances too!
It would be foolish to underestimate any team in Europe.

Having said that, i'm happy with the draw...C'mon the Hoops:ynwacelti

The few things I pickd up on that Braga forum:

    1) They are worried about losing their keeper (and don't have a real replacement)
    2) They are impressed by our fans
    3) They know we're not in our best footballing shape and have lost big players
    4) (Arguably) don't think many will travel to Glasgow
    5) Think that we think they are an easy game (going by a poll on a Celtic forum)
    6) Think they have landed a tough game but fancy their chances

The Cold Hard fact at the moment are:

Celtic, at this current period in time are going through rebuilding process, with Neil lennon who has no management experience under his belt. (Im personally 100% behind him) - Braga have a settled side, will be technically better than us, and as usual with any portugese side, be very pacey throughout the team.

We came 2nd in a poor SPL, Braga came 2nd in a strong Portuguese league

last season, we had one of the most disspointing seasons in living memory

We have lost Boruc, and could well lose Mcgeady also, as well as guys like Keane etc from the back end of last season.

    The list could go on!

    Saying that.........................

All im asking that some guys stay grounded, never mind history, how big celtic are as a club compared to Braga etc.... Its what happens on the park at the current time.

I like all Celtic fans are hopeful, its a baptism of fire for lenny, and for him and us, hope he pulls through it. but if he doesnt, its not the end of the world, he is going through a transitional period, and the primary target for us and lenny this season is the SPL, although, a bit of Europe this season would be sweet!

No pessimism here guys, just realism

    Good luck Bhoys

we shouldn't underestimate braga, and shouldn't say we will beat them comfortably as many have said, they finished second in their league ahead of porto and sporting lisbon so they will be a good team and a difficult opponent, happy we got them though as i like getting different teams in europe

    on braga forums:

    I know they go there:

For Our Scottish visitors: we are not afraid of you, we just wanted the easiest one! It's Going to Be a very good match Between Two excellent teams. We've very good players, even the better coach and we're very good tactically. We beat you in Every single thing except for dedication in the field. (Maybe, it happens in the british football)
Will you learn something, how it feels to lose without even HAVING the chance to breathe. BRAGA SMASH THEM!

Do we know what date it will be or when will this be confirmed? I mean of course the exact dates, because if the home game is the fourth of August I might come over to Glasgow.
