Champions League Qualifying Draw - 16/07/10

Expect Zenit. We never get the luck of the draw and always land the hardest team possible. Even so, we'll do a Spartak Moscow on them!!

Not Zenit or Kiev as their season started 2 months ago and will be more 'match fit' that us.

 

I fear none of them, however some are clearly avoidable.

In order of who I would like to play:

1 - Braga
2 - Ajax
3 - Kiev
4 - Fenerbahce
5 - Zenit

Zenit are currently strolling to The Russian Title, destroying everyone in the process. Made some quality signings. Il be happy if we can only avoid them.

Dissapointing ticket news i suppoose, would love to get to an away game.

Would a home qualifier sell out?

 

I hope we dont get Fenerbache. Very hostile away but I always believe we can win on the day no matter who we play.
Would also prefer away tie first. If we do i predict a 4-5-1 formation to make sure we keep it tight.

Im pretty sure its random, like last season.

For example, Arsenal played away first, while Lyon played at home first in the same round, both being seeded of course.

 

Hoping for Braga, but we'll likely get Ajax or Zenit, with our luck

 

Braga is definately the weakest team of these.

Kiev and Zenit is in much better shape.
Fenerbahce have a quality squad. But not always delivers.
Ajax have become better and better under Martin Jol.

4/5 we'll be the underdogs. 4/5 would normally battling for the second spot in the group stages in Champions League.

 

its mad to think that every team will hope to get us

when a few years ago they would of wanted to avoid us

 

Nothing to fear there for me.

If we want to be in the Champions League, we should be putting teams like that away.

 

Excuse my ignorance on this, but is their another qualifying round after this one (if we get through)? What happens if we lose this tie? Im guessing Europa league, but is it a Europa league qualifier or what?

This is crazy. We shouldn't fear anyone. Remember, we are still on a 8 match winning run and I don't think any of these teams will fancy coming to Celtic Park no matter how bad the team is at the moment

 

could be worse...am i right in saying we could meet spurs n the next round?
