Output Pablo Barrera European football seems imminent. Yesterday was announced that West Ham put an offer on the table of six million dollars for the Mexican player, but PTO Monday the possibility that the wheel of the Pumas migrate to Celtic.

And is that according to the Sunsport Scottish newspaper last week, the agent for Paul Barrera, Jorge Berlanga, traveled to the city of Glasgow for talks with Celtic chief executive, Peter Lawwell.

The same paper says that sources in Mexico have confirmed that the midfielder is interested in becoming the most important movement of the Scottish Premier League this summer and play for coach Neil Lennon, who has applied to the policy as a priority Fellin football recruiting.

Although the list of equipment that has been linked Barrera is very long, the fact that the player's agent has made the journey of 19 thousand kilometers to meet with Lawwell suggests that the player is seriously considering the possibility of continuing his career in Scotland.

Looks like Celtic have already gained a few Mexican fans :celt_2:
Expect a couple of thousand if the deal goes trough :86:

Pablo is a great player. He's a speedy winger that can play in either flank
Great long range shot with either foot and has good accuracy on the crosses. In my opinion he's a bigger talent than the new Man United signing Javier Hernandez

I'd say the chances of signing with Celtic are about 50/50

Lazio have been the most active but it seems like due to the new policies in Italian football the deal has fallen. Other clubs mentioned have been W.Ham, Espanyol, Valencia, and Catania.. But it might come down to Celtic, W.Ham and Espanyol.

The Mexican league is fairly competitive. I would compare it with the Dutch Eredivisie. He's not the product of some * competition, he's a real talent

    Hope he signs with Celtic
    Cheers.

i hope i was the first mexican in the forum. jaja but its true if this happens there will be more to come i hope you scotland guys dont mind, that guy is not only a great footballer he is also a great person he comes from a very very poor family and has not changed his attitude he is always having gratitude 2 years ago he suffered a big injury that left him out almost all season and a couple of times in home games when he was hurt he actually came in the stands with us and sang and jumped all game just like if he was a regular person like the rest of us and let me tell you our firm is called "la rebel" known to be the loudest in mexico and the most dangerous one in the country and that did not stop him just want to give you an idea of the the type of guy and player he is.

Would love for this to happen. I will remain cautiously optimistic though.

    No problem.
Don't mean to turn this thread into some kind of Pumas circle * either :icon_mrgreen:

We Pumas fans are very loyal to our players, especially those players that have made their way from our youth ranks

When they put on the Pumas jersey they not only represent the club but they are representing UNAM, the leading Latin American University and Mexico as a whole

It's always a joy to see one of our academy products go abroad
