If your first signing is Mulgrew, fans won't be as excited for things to come in the transfer market.
If your first signing is Bellamy/Bullard/(someone good), this would create the idea of a positive transfer future, and an aspiring club.

Just my way of looking at it anyway
Also Lennon might not be proud of the fact his first signing was Charlie * Mulgrew.

Mulgrew should be at Celtic Park in this very moment to finish a deal.

There'll be another 1, or at least 1 that can play there if required.

I've a feeling that it may be Mulgrew that will play there if required, he's certainly an option on the LW if McGeady goes.

"Mulgrew, out-of-contract after severing links with Aberdeen, has agreed to return to the club he quit for Wolves in part-exchange for Lee Naylor back in August 2006."

    From the Express,

    Has he already signed?

Good to see him back. Was he not on the fringes of the first team when Strachan let him go? Hope it works out

me neither.a defender who can't defend :97: if he couldn't hit a free kick i don't think we would even be thinking about signing him tbh

I think a few of you are being quite harsh on him.

When Mulgrew was first breaking through, he was looking a cracking player. Decent at defending, good engine and a dead ball specialist and then Strachan took the hump with him over something and got rid. It's only to be expected that his standard of play would dip slightly playing at the likes of Pittodrie.

Hopefully, if he signs, he can get back to being on his way to fulfilling his potential.

I like the guy and would be happy if we got him, but if I had a choice?...Gimme Lee Wallace!

hearts must need the cash but they have just turned down 2.5 million for driver unless they know they are getting a larger offer. So maybe they dont need to sell Wallace
