Neil Lennon, Celtic Manager.

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by kennydal, Jun 9, 2010.

  1. at long last ,niw hope lennon can get a couple of good signings in sharp!

best of luck to lennon and iam finally looking forward to this season

  2. All this talk of Bellamy, Keane & Petrov sounds like PL spin to me. The board have played a blinder here drag it on for aslong as they wanted , do the road show pish to make them look good and make the fans think they care what we think , now if Lennon fails the board will come out and blame us they done so at the road show by saying we chased Wgs away and they got us Tony to play the style of football we wanted and look where we ended up ,
Now the give us Lennon what they say most fans wanted yes if he fails we will get the blame once again for there lack of ambition .

  3. are thompson, mjallby and parker confirmed yet? (I know Baxter isn't)

  4. GOOD LUCK LENNY:50:CELTIC TO THE CORE:celt_2:

  5. Happy for Neil to get the job. Hope he gets the backing he deserves and passion from the fans even when things may not be going our way. Got a good feeling about this. Hail Hail Lenny:50:

  6. over the moon he got it, im genuinely exciting now, i know he will get that team playing with a bit of heart and passion if anything!

    best of luck to him.

best of luck to him. he will bring the pride back to our team hope everyone gets behind him and the team

  7. good stuff am happy with this appoinment :D

everyone sayin that he has no expierence and how can he get passion from players,

well neil's says that he wants expierenced players that hav passion so he is doing a smart job as in getting players he knows will be up to the job and will want to win things.

so it wont just be the manager with passion , he will be signing players that will already have passion for the game and maybe players that already have passion for the club so he will be making his job * of a lot easier which is a smart move and will take less time to get the team playing.

and the sooner every fan gets behind neil and whoever he signs the sooner the signings will realise what a great club this is and will play for the jersey.

  8. I liked the way lennny spoke today, there was no mention of playing like barcelona or any of this fantasy football, he knows what is required, it's just a question of delivering it.......:celt_2:

  9. Dia duit a Neill

  10. I wish Neil Lennon all the best for season 2010 / 2011.It will be interesting to see what players stay and the new players that the manager brings in.

  11. title in the bag before christmas anyone ?? lenny will be great and whats better is when he is great he will not leave us for the epl or anywhere else like hughes would have done !
this appointment could last a heck of a long time if it goes his way !
    well done son !

  12. a bit over the top with the prediction but i love the enthusiasum :50:

  13. Steve Clarke has left West Ham. Any chance he is coming here?

  14. It would be good to see Stevie come here at last. We should have had him here as a player about 27 years ago or so but the old board wouldn't stump up for him. I think we offered St Mirren £200,000 but Chelsea gotnhim for £300,000:31: He's a good coach and enjoys a good reputation.:50:

  15. I think stevie clarke would be a great mentor for Neil..rather than this stuart baxter(does anyone know if his boy was a goalie for rangers reserves couple of years back?)

btw...just read in the sun McBookie.com have Lennon at 7/4 to be a worse manager than Tony mowbray. This is * typical of outside influences i.e press, bookies etc trying to set us and our staff up for a fall before they have even kicked a ball. * the lot of them lets show them whos boss!!!!:RedFinger

  16. Lenny won't be taken for surprise with the media up here. He knows the score.

    * excited for next season now lads! Lets give all our backing to the Ginger Ninja :shamrock:

  17. Lennon : Day One

No new signings and no talk of any im slighty disapppointed, i was hoping we were going to unveil lennon and the was hoping joe ledley would be unveiled.
i thought i was a shoo in when i seen two magpies yesterday morning too

  19. Campbell did say he would wait until Lennon was confirmed before even opening talks with us. Maybe the same goes with Ledley.
