If you were to look at marco's record before he came here and now it would infact show he has bettered his ratio and in all fairness to the guy no one at celtic has been spectacular this season. I am really pleased with him to be honest, hes fast, strong, holds up the ball well and has had quite a few assists, he should definately not be sold in the summer in my opinion. I really respect the guy because he went through a tough spell where nothing was going for him but he came back from that and done well, opinions?

i quite like the look of him wide right aswell, perhaps something like this.

I like Fortune, he's definitely one of the few positives to come from Mowbrays reign although his fee is still way too high.

He's so strong on the ball and with his back to goal he's as good as anyone at turning a defender.

i think he needs to be partnered with a poacher type for us to see the full effect of MAF. i like his movement and strength which just gives the defenders a run around.

have u seen a handsome hun
another who seems to want to be the provider rather than the scorer.......he'll run the channels all day and put over a cross for.......well no one, cos thats were he should be receiving a cross from either aiden, mcginn, naylor or hinkell.

Rate him quite highly. Excellent with his back to the goal holding players off and he must have had a few assists this season. He's never been given a proper run until the last 2 months of the season and i thought he played well once he started getting into the flow of it. Hi 2 months out injured and then not getting straight back into the team afterwards put him out of form a wee bit. His goals at St Johnstone and Motherwell proves he has talent. Sometimes his commitment can be questionable but he looks a decent player. It's not his fault he was bought for £3.8million

i agree with roslea. hes six foot odd and heads the ball like a bairn. would be a decent wide man but mcgeady, mcginn, maloney(when fit) and kamara if he stays are all better widemen imo.

in saying that him and ras could be a good partnership if maf starts to show more intelligence when it comes to decision making

I like him, he's strong and brings the midfield into play. He gets McGeady and Maloney involved. They two had a wee scoring spree at the beginning of the season then as sOOn as Fortune got injured their form dipped.

His first touch can be rotten at times.

I think he improved his performances towards the end of the season...i'd be happy to give him another shot....maybe not a starting slot every week...more of a squad player.
In saying that, we did fork oot a pretty penny for him to be sitting on the bench!

I actually think he's our best player. Injury put brakes on his performance this season but over the course of a campaign he is invaluable.

edit* Pedant alert, it's Marc not marco :p

He is not bad, but could be much better in front of goal. The amount of proper sitters that got missed this season was shocking (although all our strikers had their moments). And yes the guy holds the ball up for the midfield to get involved, which they never do. Actually shocking the amount of goals from midfiled this year.
But I'd give MAF a season to prove he can show his worth, unless we got an offer near to what we paid for him.

    Here the whole time
below average so far imo, quick and strong yes but decision making and ingame intelligence pretty woeful, but new season clean slate and maybe these areas can be worked on.got me really frustrated last season but as everyone was dire i'm willing to give the guy a second chance.also needs to develop more of a killer instinct, seemed to want to take too many touches in some situations, but this is probably a confidence issue,if he gets of to a flyer we may see a different player.here's hoping.

I think he is above average in our team. Has a good touch for a big man and is strong and can head the ball. If he was signed for £500,000 we would all be raving about him. The fee was too high though, we couldnt sell him for that atm, is worth about £2-2.5 mil atm.

Good player imo, would do well if put up front with Rass.

I think its a bit unfair to judge him on his transfer fee , he didnt decide it after all it was Mowbray that did that, so for him to be judged on one of Mowbrays mistakes is a little harsh i feel

see tbh the fans are far too harsh on this guy he's notched a fair amount of goals for his first season and has done this even though the guy was injured for a fair amount of time honestly i like fortune he's able to turn any player inside out and can hit ball with some amount of power he's not scared to take on a player and is good in the air i really like the big man

Does well at holding the ball up & i thought he was the only one that could actually nearly keep up with keane when keane was 1 step ahead of everybody else. tbh he needs to have a goal poacher like rass up front with him.i will give him another season as i did with sammy(sammy to go before maf)
