Is It Right We Are Trying To Sign Players

well if we somehow get keano back here? then that could be sorted! but we need to get shot of samy and possibly fortune,but i would give him another season to be fair!

 

I think Rasmussen will bang them in next season playing alongside Fortune. Would get shot of Sammy as well. We will not be able to afford Keane permanently - perhaps another 1-year loan but thats it

agreed but again is only a temporary fix. I'm optimistic about next season and i don't think there is a huge need for wholesale changes - a centre-half, a left-back, a centre-mid and a replacement for Sammy would be enough for the title.

dont think Reid's a bad player, he'd certainly do a job for us in the SPL if he can keep injury free

 

He was supposed to be very highly rated at one time but loads of injuries has put him out of the limelight. He's a solid, experienced and flexible player, in fact pretty sure he can play at left-back??

Not a signing to light the world on fire but could be sound business. The kind of solid British type player that we're sometimes found to be lacking.

The reason he may be signing is surely because it's not just the manager at CP who makes transfer decisions. Maybe it was even Lennon himself!

 

although i must confess i have misgivings about the nature of this "signing"; is the board meddling in transfer dealings again even when we dont have a manager?

Lenny is still making signings but hes not yet manager although there is a man called John park who recomended 15 players to mowbray & he signed them all & is the same man who recomended 35 to Strachn & strachan didnt take ANY of them

 

I don't see how we can be trying to buy this guy without a manager because surely first people we should be tring to sign are loanees.

 

im big rep of ireland fan as well and when he is fit he is by far our best midfielder, fair enuff hes had lot of injuries problems but hopefully board will get him on a pay as u play deal. he knows how to get stuck in and is quality passer of the ball just wats been lackin this season

 

im not saying its true and i've not heard anything to suggest this but perhaps trapattoni or another international manager will be getting the job. They have friendlies to be played so might want to be announced after their teams game and have sanctioned this signing. Im not claiming this to be true just a theory

Also does that suggest that John Park can't pick a player

 

not too sure whats goin on with been linked to the lad,have seen him play loads of times for ireland,when he is fit he's a great player,plenty of football left in him yet

 

If this is true, and that is a big if, it looks like Lennon could be announced, but with a more experienced hand such as trapattoni to guide him. The delay could be for trapattoni to get his affairs in order? <br><br>I am not saying that it would not happen, but it would strike me as disrespectful to appoint a new manager, keep it quiet, allow them to approach new players all on the eve of Lennon's last game? <br><br><br>
