Out of those I'd have Naka, Marshall and Robbo back in a heart beat.

Naka - not much to be said, absolute genius. We've been craving for creative midfielder for quite some time and I think he could still play part in current team. There would certainly be spot for him in this squad.

Marshall - he'd probably be Boruc's #2, but he'd still be useful. Every time I watched him in Celtic and down south he was doing very well. Wouldn't mind seeing him here, but Zaluška is sufficent back-up.

Robson - we miss his presence big time, I reckon. He can show passion every time and generally was solid player for us. I'd have him over Brown any day of the week, presumably paired with Crosas. NOT as a winger.

Oh, and I'd have these three to take set-pieces before Naylor any day of the week, even Marshall.

 

What is everyones obssesion with McDonought???

He had a great 1st 6 months then his ego and his * quadrupled in size.

He had one of the worst 1st touched of a pro that iv ever seen. He controlled the ball passes along the ground n it would end up at his chest. His goal scoring record after his 1st 6 months was pretty poor. We lost the league last year and fell behing rangers at the start of this season due to our failure to score enough goals. He was our main striker during this period.

John Hartson once said if your a striker for Celtic and your not scoring at least 20 a season your not doing your job. McDonald got 19 last year.

It just goes to show how far we have fallen that supporters want him back. Never Celtic class.

The only players in that list I'd consider taking back would be Robson, Jarosik(if we'd use him properly this time) and MAYBE Skippy. But I'd even have to think about taking any of those 3 back.

Why is it players take on some mythical status as the answer to our problems once they move to other clubs? Some of our fans seem to spend half the time slaughtering the players we actually have and the other half slavering over players we've allowed to leave. It's a strange, strange phenomenon.
