he ain't only well liked among his supporters, also his teammates don't like him at all. he's supposed to be a first class * (and that at the age of 19).

Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic said after his side's Champions League defeat that Inter defender Marco Materazzi attacked team-mate Mario Balotelli in the players' tunnel.

Ibrahimovic said that he saw what happened after Balotelli had thrown off his jersey in anger and given a middle finger salute to the Inter fans after the final whistle.
"I saw that Materazzi was attacking him in the players' tunnel and I've never seen anything like it," Ibrahimovic told RAI. "If I were him, I'd have left Mario alone, but Materazzi was attacking him and I was stunned. If Materazzi had attacked me like that, I would've decked him in a second!
"Materazzi was causing all sorts of trouble and in the Barcelona locker room we were amazed, all talking about it. A player should be proud after a win, not chase down a 20-year-old to berate him."
Captain Javier Zanetti told Sky Sport Italia: ''Balotelli needs to understand certain things. I am sorry because it kind of ruined this festival with such a gesture. However, we are close to him and we will always support him."
Manager Jose Mourinho also had words for substitute Balotelli after the whistle.
"I have been at Inter since July 2008," he said. "If I try to remember all the times I've tried to educate a great talent, there are thousands and thousands. This is a Champions League semi-final, the second most important tie in club football, and something ugly happened."
Inter CEO Ernesto Paolillo says the club will definitely be taking action against the player over the gesture.
"Balotelli's gesture was terrible. Just terrible," he said. "It is something we are going to have to discuss. Will he be punished? Absolutely, yes."

anyone of us on this forum bhoy and ghirl would do anything to be playing pro football at any level never mind * champions league v barca he hasnt got a clue how lucky he is

fair enough he gets pelters from fans.well mate what do you expect if you wear you rivals top on tele,big deal you supported them all yer life keep that between you and yer family,

dont come to celtic we have enough players already who think there superstars................or maybe thats the reallity check you need

 

He may have been getting rascist comments from fans & if so fair play to him, he doesnt need to be subjected to that abuse for whatever team he supports

Balotelli is a *, yes: but he is still a teenager, and the amount of racist stick he has to take in Serie A ("black italian does not exist" etc) is unreal.

Materazzi on the other hand is in his mid-30s, and has no excuse whatsoever. Doesn't surprise me in he least that he should choose to physically attack a young black guy - certainly wouldn't be the first time allegations of racism were laid at his door.

He is a total right-wing asswipe.

While I don't condone his actions, I do understand where he's coming from. It's bad enough that he gets racist abuse from opposing fans, but from his own fans too?! No to mention he gets jeered and booed at every chance the fans get. TBH I'd be pretty * off too.
