i really cannot get my hopes up, if the board had any balls they'd sign up avram grant or mark hughes and give him £20m to play with and stay the * out of his way with signings (i.e. no signing ki or zheng's because they sell shirts.)

Whoever it is who they het in mate, they should be working on him now!

Keeping Lenny till the end of the season is more or less saying:

"The Jobs yours if you do well from now till then"

I love Lenny mate, great man, great Celtic man, but we need stability right now. We need someone in the dressing room now, or at least in the stands, drawing up targets and deciding who he wants and who he does not want to keep.

Say for example its Hughes. He will want a decent budget, He will not come up here and jeopardize his reputation with that team who played last night and against Ross County. A guy like him will demand money.

Going back to an earlier post mate, this needs to happen, or many many fans like myself have seen enough, we are more than willing to spend money on season books for 20+ years, and merchandise, at times when the club was at its lowest, now the fans are at their loweest ebb, we need lifting, and they need to do the same as we have done for years, or a lot of fans will be giving up their books.

Robbie keane is not enough to be a 1 man team as was observed with ross county. He needs quality support and passing. Like darren fletcher for scotland. One of the best players for man u but one of the consistenly worst for scotland.

This team needs a complete make over. We need to strengthing the team with older players with experience to help the younger players. We have a good team but there is very little experience which will become a major problem next seson when we play in the champions league

Ahaha, best joke I have hear all day! To name but one of the many problems with that statement, McCourt can't play more than 20 mins without running out of puff.

i think thats due to the fact scotland fans expect him to be a superstar, where as at united he's just a consistent let the game flow, something we dont have the ability to do...

same with keano, theres no support round about him and even when there is more often than not he has to do it himself, NOBODY is good enough to be a one man team.

So a player is only as good as what he is valued at?????

Hpw do you know a 3-4 million pound player will be good???

Rafael Scheidt - 5 million - Was he good???

Larsson and Moravcik, bought for 1 million - they didnt cost that much, does that mean they were bad??

You cant say we need 3-4 million pound players, what we need is quality at an affordable price, seeing as the SPL doesnt generate that much money

Spot on, it's not about how much we spend but how well we spend what we have.

As for the original question, we need to improve too many of areas of the team to splash all our wage budget never mind transfer budget on one player so I would rather see us invest in quality additions to the squad that will improve us all over the pitch.

still 2nd imo, we rely too heavily on him instead of trying to be a team.

the kind of players you would pick up for 2-4 million still wouldnt add up to near the quality of robbie. imagine how worse the last few months might have been had robbie not arrived.....take him out of it and what are you left with. not a lot.

Please stop going on about Keane! We will NOT be buying him in the summer, he does NOT want to come back here to play in this * league. All the best to him but we need to be spending money on building a new team of players that wont allow themselves to be bullied by the huns or any other team..build a strong backbone to your team, hopefully a few guys over 6 foot because our team looks tiny, and then try and get the flair players in beside them!

we need a stron holding midfielder, someone like Micheal Bradley who plays for Borissiua Mognerlenblach or something another, strong passionate and can get the ball and work it ot others, if we can pair him with a good forward and maybe another good winger and I think He could help to re shape our team, he would fit in well with crosas and Ki

There were 2 opportunites Keane had last night, that I'm sure Rasmussen would've scored. The header in the 1st 10 minutes, from a great cross by McGinn...Keane totally sclaffed at it (maybe cos he's wee).

With us playing wingers all the time, it makes more sense to play a guy who's good in the air - Fortune, Keane & Sammy are all poor in that department.

Keane is overpriced & is too easily marked out of a game, teams have sussed us out too easily - by marking Keane & McGeady. We need to bring in better players - FB's who can put in a good cross & CMers who can get into the box & score, to support strikers.
