The Lisbon Lions were mostly all from Glasgow and they NEVER spoke to their fans like that - and let's make no mistake we've had bad results before but we have not had a history of our players mixing it with our own fans.

Being taught not to tolerate being put down does not justify aggressive or abusive behaviour. Smart Glaswegians talk their way out the situation using wit and patter. The others just get in to one square-go after another. This wee nyaff should have been shown the door last year.

its not easy to be objective when the team you support is having such a bad season we feel totally let down by the team who failed to turn up and fight for the right to be in the final, but lets face it they probably thought like like most of us Ross County thats us in the final. we pay our season ticket money and expect to win every game so the pressure is on the players to deliver and * help them if they dont some of the abuse is over the top at times and i think it is born out of frustration ; most of us would have loved to play for Celtic but didn't have the talent so we turn up to see Celtic annihilate all before them. today i have calmed down and in reflection the county players fought for every scrap and always seemed to have 2 players chasing the ball wheras our team had no movement and no one wanted to show for the ball we had no shape to the team and no leadership on the park. We have 2nd place to fight for and the hope that a new manager can somehow raise us from the depths of despair to having some pride in our team .

McGeady and O'Dea should both go in the summer with their tails firmly between their legs. McGeady does not give a toss. He has not an ounce of fight in him and for all his tricks and flicks, he has no end product and is a little * to boot. Who does he think he is to answer back to these supporters who blatantly live and breathe Celtic?

Lennon is class. Not convinced he is good enough to be manager yet, but have nothing but respect for the guy. It would have been easy for him to hide like the board has done all season, but he's courage through and through. Wish we had some of his spirit on the pitch.

smart glaswegians can see trouble and get out of the way and we are talking football players here they dont always think before they speak. we are all raging after yesterday but does that give us the right to be abusive. The lisbon lions never had to endure the sort of abuse some players get these days and the never got the money players get today they did not think they were better than the fans unlike some players today.

lennon always gives us his heart! and that is fact,he is a top class person who actually gives a * to what we think!.

now mcgeady and o`dea! just * off. simple as that waste of space greeting at fans! what do you expect ya pair of * ye! the quicker this season ends the better so we can get a full time manager in and get shot of the hopeless lifeless bullshit out of our club.

Very interesting read and while i still dont think lennon is the man for the job ( just now at least ) I think he did show at least passion and hurt . On thing i realy would agree with is that samaras gets a lot of stick which at times isnt justified and while hes a big boy and players have to accept a bit of stick at times he is one of the players who seems to be singled out while players like mcgeady get off scot free with sections of the support . There has always been runours about mcgeadys attitude and he should have known better as with odea becuase none of them can deny the fans right to give them stick after yesterdays performance

Lennon is a class act, its certainly the first time ive ever heard of any manger taking the time to explain himself; not really his fault, the players were the ones who ultimately had to go do it and they never looked bothered

i agree with people who feel bad at the sheer amount of abuse Sammy gets, its disgraceful; he wasnt even our worse player yesterday though thats not saying a lot!!

Aiden is a lippy wee * who clearly thinks he's Messi; i've always thought Aiden would improve but he seems like a wee * content to pick up his pay cheque and spend it on going to Karbon, i'd take any decent offer for him in the summer

O'Dea? jesus wept!!!! another smart * who needs getting rid of!!

dark days indeed, this is definately the worse season i can remember :54:

can we trust the board to make the right appointment though?

McGeady & O'Dea mouthing is just totally unacceptable. I would have smashed McGeady in if he was talking back like that. Lennon knows the script & I feel sorry for the man, look at the * Mogga left him. Lennons response to all interveiws were the best honest answers any manager would give.

This is the boards fault once AGIAN for this * Mogga bought. Boards a * disgrace to our club.

Celtic Football Club is all about playing for the jersey. The players showed to us on Saturday they dont give a * about us.

    * the players & * the board.

    Let the people sing :shamrock:

First off I think McGeady and O'Dea had no right to mouth back at fans who where berating them but half of the problem is the attitude of many people nowadays who think they can just do what they want and you have just shown the exact same traits by saying you would have smashed him. So it's ok for fans to be aggressive but not players? Yes these particular players seem to have an attitude problem, unfortunately so do many of the fans.

Lennon is a man I can respect. McGeady is not unfortunately. Off the park he's quite unprofessional - track record and mouthing off at fans proves that. Even on the park his mouth and attitude can get him silly bookings. Prima Donna.

Lennon has gone up in my esteem though.

:54: The more i read the more depressed i get at the moment Football used to cheer me up! This really is an all time low. And i've seen some * times.
It looks like we are going to have to take some more steps back to be able to move forward. We have the nucleous of a decent team within the current squad but really need a quality manager with Lenny as his right hand man to sort things out!

Got to say ive heard a lot of people say that these 2 are a pair of *.The two of them should have just took it on the chin because it is well deserved.

Totally agree with danni that its ok to mouth your opinion at them but saying you would knock them out is OTT

Is it next season yet, i have just woke up from under a rock lol.

Mcgeady and O'dea should never wear that jersey again if that true, they should remember who pay there fecking wages.

Mcgeady a one trick poiny who thinks he is well better than what he is.

Wee Gordon got it spot on with him,

    A class footballer - no
    A hard man - no
A mouth peace and a trouble maker - yes

    * off to England Aiden :bbpd: :47:

I know it's a *-take but watch that from 1.03 onwards. Sums up how I feel about footballers. They're earning more in a week than lots of supporters are in a year and they can't take abuse?!

Happy to see McGeady and O'Dea sent packing this summer to be fair, same goes for McGowan after his wee performance outside Parkhead the other week. Don't need egos like that when they're not backed up with consistent performances.

Told one of the fans who had a go at him after the St Mirren game he'd "punch his c**t in"... Another wee ned catapulted into the first team by having wee bits and pieces of talent. Diabolical attitude. :38:
