Ya i like him and he never hides to be fair unlike some players . The thing is hes inconsistent thats true but sheesh our most inconsistent and at times frustrating player is mcgeady and lets be honest he gets a lot more leeway than most and big artur is another who on his game is world class but he needs to sort his head out but he has cult staus with some fans and so gets away with *

always liked sammy, abuse he gets terrible tbh, an absolute joke at times, guy gives his all and is a very talented YOUNG player!

played 98 scored 37 is also a great record for a guy who rarely starts imo :50:

You don't like him as a footballer so why are you saying he can * off.

A few people on here must be the ones who just sit and wait for him to make a mistake so they can scream and shout and cheer when he is subsdituted, has it ever crossed your dull brainless heads that this could in turn affect his confidence and you could end up being the reason he is inconsitient, sorry for bein rude n all but some tossers on here.

If A player is playing out of his skin the punters are quiet but if he makes a single mistake he gets a huge amount of abuse, think about it would you not be inconsistent?

    * wake up.

Can only imagine getting repeatedly punched in the face by a 'Scandinavian beserker' as a motivational concept might be somewhat different to what he has been used to. :56:

Even though I call him donkey and stuff. Sammy is still one of my favorite current players, he doesn't miss half as many sitters as fortune aswell

I actually feel sorry for the guy. People should leave all there moaning about players for forums, radio phone INS or discussions down pub not during the match.especially with sammy cos he is definetly a confidence player and all the groans can't be helping. It's same old story a player of keanes quality has missed atleast 7 or 8 great one on one chances and you hardly hear a moan but sammy get pelters. Give him a break

As others have said Sammy is one of the frustrating players we have. He has the talent but he's just so inconsistent, however, getting booed constantly by sections of the "support" isn't exactly going to help his confidence and those fans need to shoulder some of the blame for his inconsistency imo.

    I feel sorry for him.

Because he is horrendously inconsistent, lazy and shows no determination whatsoever.
But no I've to cheer him on when he has an "I can't be arsed" attitude.

I like these new training methods, I actually believe even though he didn't score, his last game for celtic was one of his best. He was always looking for the one two, beating payers for fun and looked a handful. 90% of what he did was a success. He was certainly one of the best out there. Hopefully these new training methods continue, sure beats Greek National team training camps..

We are short of money and people are post threads about breaking the bank to buy an alternative striker...( - has nobody noticed what's happening across the city or have you all forgotten what the Bunnet rescued us from? - I digress - sorry Mod!)

If Samaras was as good as we need him to be then Man City would not have off-loaded him the way they did. He lacks confidence in a way that reminds me of Brattbak - one-on-one against any keeper your money's safe that he will come of second best. In some ways I truly feel sorry for him but I'd lose my job if I under-delivered as often as he does. I wish I had his paypacket.

He is either excellent; wins tackles, beats players, scores goals lays goals off or he is completely *; falls over the ball, hits shots into the stand, clatters into opponents.

I don't think i've ever seen a player like him and the weirdest thing is you can tell which mood he is in after his first touch.

I agree with wot most people are saying he is a confidence player, but as some people have said... if samaras does something wrong the crowd want him subbed but if mcgeady does something wrong or makes the wrong decision he tends to get clapped.. i know aiden is a quality player and he has been at the club all his life but surely it shouldnt be a diff rule for aiden just cos hes a better player and has played for celtic all his life??

the reason i like to have a moan at him is cause he undoubtedly has the talent but doesnt show it often enough and i think thats wat annoys fans

    another one is mcgeady

The fans are to blame though if you sit and scream and shout at a player then how can you then expect him to play well?

Apply that to management and you'd be shouting for TM as manager rather than someone like Lennon who will no doubt be shouting and screaming at players when they aren't pulling their weight.. There's encouragement and there's shouting but because the fans can't go on the pitch to put an arm around Samaras and lift his chin up for him , the alternatives are to keep quiet or let him know what they expect from him...
How do you encourage someone who is constantly repeating the same mistakes over and again..
