Mate bit harsh man... i think tho that when ye dont like a player ye dont like him... sum ppl have players they dont like and that is it even if he was to go and score alot of goals between now and the end of the season, and he has been playing left mid.

Because he is clumsy, greedy and not consistent enough with his scoring.

He is a very frustrating player, simply because we are all aware of his ability, yet it seems to seldom this skill is shown. He can make everything look so silky, so easy and on other times you wonder what goes on through his head. Simply he has the odd patch of form, and very long spells when he looks very. very ordinary.

Not sure how many of you care to think of Viduka after he left Celtic, but as an Aussie I'd keep half an eye on what he was upto, not to mention when he was on Socceroos duty. Every season he seemed to be in such brilliant form for 2-3 months, and he would be a simply astounding, with a brilliant first touch and close control that was second to none, yet on other times he was absolutely abysmal. Sammy has different qualities, but the frustration is the same.

There are several reasons why Man City signed him, and there are as many for why he left.

See if he kept the game simple and focused instead of trying to score wonder goals and do the incredible, I reckon you would have a hard time keeping him at CP!

    He's not a scapegoat

he's a lazy poor excuse for a footballer.

Sooner he * off the sooner I can end my anger management classes.

    he's not a scapegoat!
do you actually know what one is?

who is blaming him for anything other than being woefully inconsistent? i don't think i have heard a single celtic fan say anything like "league is over, we're playing kak, AND ITS ALL SAMARAS' FAULT!"

the guy has pace, but has no footballing brain, at all. when larsson could be relied upon to always do the right thing, play the percentages, make the correct pass at the right time, samaras can do none of these things. he plays like a thick footballer. and that is why he gets the criticism that he DESERVES.

He's trying, he respects this club, and that's what makes him good. Sure, you never know which guy will appear, but you know he'll run day and night. There's only 2 Georgios Samaras'!

I'm a huge fan of Sammy personally and I'm disappointed when he gets undeserved stick, you can tell he loves the club despite only being here for 2 years. He can be frustrating but he's a big asset to our squad, on form he's quality.

I remember 2 years ago in the Nou Camp when we got beat 1-0, all the Tic players just went straight down the tunnel at the final whistle except for Sammy who came over and clapped us fans up in the heavens (this being a few weeks are joining the club), got to respect that. :celt_2:

samaras gained some respect for me last week in paisley. Him and Keane were the only 2 players grateful enough to go over to the fans that were still in the ground and acknowledge the support and apologise over the performance. Wee * like mcgeady etc ran away as soon as they could, as well as people like mowbray and grant. At least sammy had the baws to front the abuse, along with keane. He is certainly talented but i wouldnt say he had a good first touch at all. He looks better on the left wing and also when he plays for greece, with less people on his back he has a more relaxed attitude. I do wonder at times why sammy gets booed for some things when other players, most notably mcgeady, do the same or worse and get applauded for it. They did tests and sammy was the fastest at the club but he fails to show it often enough but he is still young and is progressing

not that he's that bad, its just his mistakes can be very costly and he usually needs numerous chances before he scores, but he can be great to watch just not often enough
