No, keane is obliged to leave celtic when his loans up,as he keeps saying "ill be at tottenham next season" and as far as i know Boruc loves celtic, and hes great.

It's a hypothetical question. Purely for the purpose of discussion.

    Nope.

So frustrating watching hard work undone by incompetent keepers in recent years. For all his ups and downs, Boruc is our most talented/reliable in a long time.

Plus Keane has no value to resell, Boruc is only a bit younger, but keepers go for longer.

NO WAY. Fair enough Keane has scored a few, but how many chances does he need. He had umpteen against Hearts at parkhead. He specialises in hitting the keepers legs. Would have no problems if he went back just now. Would be gutted to see Artur leave

Cant believe this really ,players normally take a bit of time to settle in but Keane took what 2 games and hasnt stopped scoring since ,i reckon he could well score 20 before the season ends ,thats some going for someone who arrived in January.

No. Trading in a good goalie with years in the tank (goalies have far longer career) for a 30 year old striker is bad business. If Keane had been 27 I would have said yes but at 30 a striker will devalue quickly. Most in England think Keane is past his best now and on the slide. If Artur is worth the 7-8 million people claim (I doubt it personally) then that is too much to trade in for a striker about to head over the hill. Its the one position where most (spare me a list of exceptions) are on the slide once they ate in their early 30s. If we sell Artur, I would like to see the money going towards two excellent players not from the inflated prices of the EPL. I am sure a Keane standard striker can be got on the continent for 5 million. Keane is simply not worth the 8 million pounds+ you hear suggested. Best avoid the EPL IMO.

30 goals a season for the next 4 years would do me fine he would achieve this no problem while imo Boruc is replaceable .

I would definately entertain it.. Hard to say who'd get the best deal..

Keane's age does play a part in it but we need "clinical" players for next season and Keane fits the bill.. Could probably play on for another 5 years in some capacity (See Kevin Phillips) , while it could go either way for Boruc if he went to Spurs , could be found wanting even more from his kicking when being closed down by Drogba , Torres , Rooney etc , or he could turn in a fantastic season or two and then get a Shay-Given-Esque move to a top four club for £10m+..
A solid defence in the SPL shouldn't need a potential world class goalkeeper behind it...
I'd be willing to take the gamble that having Keane would mean gaining more points through scoring goals , than points being dropped through Boruc being moved on..
