I voted board decision - because it is what every other board would, and should do. This made me start thinking, we don't have a board like most other teams, so its virtually impossible to tell. If they don't take the decision now and we win the cup, will they sack him in the summer? I don't think so. It will be viewed as a transitional season where we lost out in the league but came away with the Scottish Cup and being the last game in the season will disguise to some the complete and utter pish we have seen all season. I always give managers a chance and it really annoys me when others don't - how can you support a team without hope and belief? It is plain for all to see that Tony Mowbary isn't the man for the job. Lovely guy but not a Celtic manager. Some of the tactical changes he has been making and team selections beggar belief. I would see the sensible way to handle the situation to part with Mowbary now - bring in a caretaker till end of season (who has pretty much got the run in to prepare for the cup final and find a balanced starting eleven) before making an appointment in the summer of someone who has proven big team experience, has a big character and who won't need year(s) to stamp their authority on the club. There might not be many candidates who fit the bill, I would like a good foreign manager who is tactically astute and has managed at a higher level than the managers we were linked to after Strachan left; Mowbary, Coyle etc. We'll need to see but have a distinct feeling that we may be stuck with Mowbary and mediocrity (at best) for a while yet.

Does anyone still think Mogga shouldn't be sacked?

I have stood by him and told everyone to be patient and give him time to time to get things right, I am completely 100% wrong and i hold my hands up to it, the man has made this a complete nightmare season, knocked out champions league (fair enough, this was a very hard tie) we then got put into a decent europe league group, we did terrible in in that and have lost 2 old firm games and drew 1. Embarrased in the league by a team that wouldnt even do well in the championship. I have finally had enough of him spoling my weekends and now my midweeks, a season from * and if he had any sense he would resign. Anyway, i was wondering who still back's him? I am honestly curious to see who still thinks he has a future at Celtic and why?

I just got a text saying that there will be a statement on the Official site within the hour. No idea if it is for real or just a wind up.

    Anyone heard anything?

I really hope so mate, Mowbray has looked out of his depth and like another poster has said lacks the passion.

Mowbray is a good bloke and has the clubs interests at heart but I thinking enough is enough and i would like to see him resign so he can leave with some of his dignity.

To be honest I've never reckoned him from the start. Didn't exactly dae brilliant at Hibs, got West Brom relegated and we go for him? Who came up wae that idea?

Still, when a new manager comes in ye want him tae dae brilliant but it's jus' clearly no happening for the guy.

And after that dismal las' night, it was clear it's time for 'em tae go.

I don't want any one to lose their job, because from personal experience, I know how much that sucks. However, I hope TM does the honourable thing. He did alot of good stuff aas a player & let us not forget that he introduced the Huddle.

Take a bow, Tony. Most of us like you as you seem an honest guy, but in the interests of all parties best to hold your hands up, say that the job was too big & move aside with dignity.

    100% my thoughts.

I've supported Mowbray as fiercly as those who have attacked him, but after last night, I simply cannot defend the indefensible.

I don't regret for one second supporting Mowbray the way I have as I've always taken positives from our games and seen enough to suggest to me that we're on the right track, but last night was just too much to take.

    NOTHING positive, nothing.

Think I'll just roll up until a ball and hibernate until the start of next season.

Thats pretty much what I think. He seems a nice, genuine guy, who has tried his best to manage the team his way and has failed miserably.

I don't hold any malace for him, but I hope he does the decent thing and resigns before the fans really do start getting on him. Although, you would think after that result that things can only go up from here.

But no, do the right thing Mogga, resign and leave with some dignity still in tact.

Maybe himself, perhaps Peter Grant & Mark Venus. I hope not the Board.

Apart from that and a few hundred thousand Rangers fans, I seriously doubt it.

Didn't think it was a good idea from the start even though i hoped i was wrong! So here's why... At Hibs there was no expectations beating Celtic & rangers once a season and getting into the top 6 is a good season for Hibs and that's all he done... Granted he got west brom promoted but he also got the relegated before November because of his ignorant philosophy's on how the game should be played... So here's the not so funny part .. his ignorant philosophy's should have worked in the SPL with Celtic. Its like taking over Barcelona and saying ''we are going to play attacking football'' You should do you are the best team in the league! So why hasn't it worked? Bottom line is to come in and say you need 10 new players is saying no one in your team is good enough and due to that the players have never responded to him.. He is not a leader none of his 10 new signings are leaders and just when you think it cant get any worse it does ... Do the honorable thing and walk take Grant and Venus with you!
As far as the Celtic board go.. I will probably still give up my ticket for next season unless some drastic improvements are made!
