  4. "Maybe it isn't a league for trying to force the game and be expansive - maybe it is a league for playing defensive, negative football and having quality up front to counter-attack." ~ Mowbray after the game today

See, he just hasn't figured out how to manage a team in Scotland. Playing and managing are two totally different things.

He's a good guy. He's just not up for the job of managing a team up north.

I feel bad for him, I really do. I imagine he has to be going through * tonight emotionally. But I feel worse for the team and all the other fans. I think the players now hopefully know, hopefully, how important winning this Cup is.

Also, Celtic_Yank, if you scroll way back in the thread, I was blaming the players, equally as much as I was mowbray.

for 65k against a team near bottom of the league? then yes! if i was getting paid almost 4 times more than some1 in the same trade as me i would be expected to do more to earn it.

this is a positioning statement for his next job as he's aware his time here is done. same as saying, "scottish fitba is crap, i can't manage a team to play crap fitba but if the barca job is open, I'm the dog's bollox"

i think he was in our half once. i'm not defending mowbray, far from it. just think we've got actual things to be complaining about rather than going along with craig burleys made up positions that he even admitted later weren't what mowbray had done.
