In August 2008, Crosas joined Celtic for a fee of £415,000 rising to £1.6 million depending on appearances, and signed a four-year contract.
Barcelona retained a £1.65 million buy-back option which takes effect at the end of season 2009/10.

Are we not playing him often enough because we dont want Barca to steal him back, or what's the deal with him?

I dont think Barca want to "steal" him back. Hes not good enough for Barca.

We not playing him because TM thinks its acceptable to keep changing the team so there no consistency. He should be playing but hey we should of won the league this season.

TBH, I was never one of his biggest fans. My personal feeling is that he's not a very adventurous player and rarely spots a good attacking forward pass. I also feel that he's a little too slow to react at times.

I'm a much bigger fan of N'guemo and hope TM focuses on retaining his services if push comes to shove.

Think you will find Crosas has great vision and can certainly provide a good pass.

Yeah, but he doesn't do that often enough. I'm not saying he's rubbish, I'd just rather pick Ki (edit) and N'Guemo before him is all I'm suggesting.

He plays excellent through balls consistently, if the chance doesn't get finished or folk don't notice because he isn't the brash in your face centre mid some shout out for it isn't his fault.

The difference in ability betweem him and Brown (not another random dig at him, purely because he appears to be in direct competition for a starting slot) is massive. If I were Crosas I'd be scratching my head as to why he is behind him never mind being captained by him.

Exactly right. Crosas is a much more effective player than Brown. He can control the game much better from midfield and as we seen on sunday has great vision and awareness.

Brown is actually starting to remind me of Graveson running around like a headless chicken.

Just wondering . . . Can anyone remember the centre midfield (when fit) Strachan played most last year?

These are two ridiculous posts. N'Guemo in my opinion has a decent shout at being our player of the year and despite being on loan has put more effort into games than anyone. If we don't sign him it's an absolute disgrace.

Crosas whenever he plays pulls the strings in the midfield. He gives the whole team shape and balance that we so clearly lack when he is replaced by Scott Brown who runs around like a headless chicken. I really don't know how people can't see this, the only feasible explanation I can think of is people are watching games on the TV or internet and can't see the big picture of what he is actually doing (Stevie Bhoy that isn't a dig at you). If people are sitting in the stands and rate Brown over Crosas (as Hammer said they seem to be in direct competition for the place beside N'Guemo) then I'd like to hear an explanation why because I don't understand.

    Completely agree.

I understand that on the odd occassion he plays a loose ball, but unlike most players, he charges after it and goes all out to win it back. His passing is fast and positive (although he needs to work on passes over 20 yards), and he's a great ball winner.

He's one of my favourite players just now. Anyone remember the script about retaining him at the end of the year?
