Minutes Silence Before OF

There will be a minutes silence on Sunday before kick off to remember former Rangers keeper Gerry Neef.
Will be interesting to see how our fans react, Rangers know fine well this will be controversial, thoughts?

 

The apron-wearing laptop loyal will be rubbing their hands at this one.

 

I'd observe it, cos it will get right up their noses that we're not reducing ourselves to the same mentality as them.

 

I think it's a deliberate move to try and shame the Celtic fans. I don't see why an applause isn't gOOd enough. They know fine well that some fans will ruin it.

I tend to agree, i know it might be a bit of a conspiracists way of thinking but something like this always crops up in time for an old firm game in an attempt to lure us into a trap to shame us.

After a little look on Wikipedia (i know not credible) it says he made between 33 and 49 appearances for the club.

 

Still I would respect the man and not the club, don't stoop to their level

 

there is no such things as a minutes silence at a celtic rangers game! imo this is purely an attempt to make the celtic fans look bad! although all that will happen is the papers would write a story about it, who cares

 

why are they having a minutes silence for someone that played so little games? surely if they were going to do stuff like that they would have 1 every other game!. i dont think there will be a problem though. against falkirk the vast majority were silent

hate to admit but i think your right , i wouldn't put it past them , i mean they would know if theres one game NOT to hold a minutes silence its an old firm derby , an applause would be better . Or are we reading to much into it

 

Exactly, he's had like 35 appearances or something, in that case there would be minutes silences nearly every week, funny how it's an OF game when they decide to have it eh?

 

That's a joke, as someone said Hpw can you expect how can they expect a minutes silence to be observed at an OF game Especially for someone no ones even heard of.

Can't see it being totally observed, there's always a minority of * up * on both sides that spend most of the game spewing bile & hate rather than support the team on the park.
Press will have a field day, would love to see a banner at CP for the next Old Firm game saying Scotland's Shame with both the Daily Record & Sun's logo on it.

 

Who is he? When did he play for them? How old was he? What did he die of?
