If we finish third he is out of a job. Don't think he could ever win the fans back after it.

    Manager replacement issues

It's probably a well known secret that BTM wasn't our 1st choice replacement for WGS.

Coyle stayed with Burnley & then moved to Bolton within the season, read into that what you will, but for me it says that the SPL isn't sttractive to promising managers.

Slaven Billic's contract runs out this year & he didn't make it to the World Cup, but have got a good group for the Euro qualifiers - would we be able to attract him?

My point is with all these Sack the Manager reactions to dissapointing results - who would we REALLY be able to attract?

Guys who could really improve us are out of our league - Gus Hiddink for example.

Would guys like Paul Lambert really prove any better than Mowbray?

Lambo's record is nothing compared to BTM's - he was * in the SPL with Livi & was sacked, BTM did brilliant with Hibs.

Lambo is doing great with Norwich in League one - but BTM won the Championship with West Brom.

Would we do the same with Lambo, if he didn't win every game or at least be top of the league - as we have done with BTM & WGS, which is to villify & ridicule them at every blip.

How can we attract a quality Manager, when every one we have gets dragged through the gutter at every opportunity by the best fans in the World?

I say stick with BTM & see if he comes good, he is the best we could get less than a year ago - is there better out there now?

Yup. If we finish 3rd, i think we're definatly getting shot of Mowbray.

I don't think its acceptable for Celtic to be finishing outisde the top 2. Saying that, i think we will finish 2nd, and then it all depends on Mowbray's pre-season, and how he starts the league and champions league that will ultimatly decide his future.

    But you never know!

I'm a Celtic supporter, not a Mowbray supporter.

    What is a Mowbray supporter?

I'm confident of a at least a second place finish with only 2 or 3 points between us and them. The mowbray supporters the celtic supporters should be one not divided.

Stick Together Through Thick and Thin

Mowbray has my backing , going forward we are much more EXCITING than under Starchan!

Sort out the backline and we WILL be the TEAM tha e all want!

Even if Robbie leaves we should try and get Kamara for next season.

We still have not reached May!

This will be a season of attrition!

I think the justification for punting Mogga and getting in someone who may actually have a lesser CV is simply that other people may be more practical while Mogga is a bit of an oddball idealist. That may not be obvious on a CV but it is a major issue. I think Mogga like most other candicates has never been at a club where winning is a must. The way at WBA he git them relegated 'while sticking to his principles' and playing open attacking football worries me. He seems to doing something similar here and one thing for sure is his philosophy will mean future years in the CL (if we ever see it again) will be a disaster because a team like us can only win ugly at that level. It is easy to get 80% of the way to football success playing idealised open football with defense being a distant secondary consideration, but the final 20% needs more than that and needs more hard headed elements. Mogga I think is a bit like Keegan at Newcastle and Tommy Burns here in that respect. There are other people with lesser CVs than Mogga who have a more suitable mental and practical outlook IMO and have simply not had the opportunity.

i totally agree our midfield is weak falkirk, killie, aberdeen, and many others this season have bullied our midfield,he had a striker playing there as well, all he knows is play strikers and no tactics, how come the wee teams can out think him, this guy is worse than JOHN BARNES he came and talks a good game same as barnes, your time is up tm the blue noses will be lol and hoping you stay.we need a good tactical solid BRITISH TYPE MANAGER to inject organisation, tactics and * passion in to this gutless and spineless team:38:

roy hodgeson at fulham would be my choice as a replacement if possible.knows how to get that bit extra out of average players at his disposal and bring the best out of players with a bit of class.he has years of experience in international and club management throughout europe including at some of the best leagues in the continent.don't know if he could be tempted away from the epl though.

BTM is going nowhere .he has made wholesale changes this season and a new man coming in would want to create his own team . Give the guy till at least till the end of the season to put a run together , players fitness will play a part , i dont think we would have seen a loss yesterday if we had our first choice defence there .....

Thing is, if there are other people with lesser CV's who you think could do better - how are they going to prove it at interview?

Mowbray got the job, after others had rejected it.

We can't attract Managers with PROVEN ability - even though Mowbray WON the Championship, which is the 2nd richest league in the UK & much better than the SPL - WGS is getting mauled there at the moment.

Can you imagine how that manager with limited ability/experiance you speak of would be treated (& the Board for hiring him) if he were to suffer the "blips" that BTM & WGS had before him?
There would be carnage, guys are even speaking of Protests now, with a manager who has a decent CV in charge.

The bits in bold may be the problem - how can a guy get the experiance required to be a success at a club like Celtic? That's why I think we've got to stick with Mowbray - he & WGS both knew Scotland & the SPL, but found it very difficult, much more than expected - even for guys with a knowledge & experiance of the league/country.

Lambert would suffer the same experiance - even though he's been Captain of the club, look at Mowbray.

Braffheid The New 'Heid'- I don't believe it!

I feckin tempted fate by jokingly saying that Braffheid would be the new 'heid'.

FFS he has gone and proven me right yesterday!

Still think he is a good footie player, fair old shot that at the end that ripped the bar!
