Im really impressed by Thompson. Cool head on his shoulders, is better than Loovens in my opinion.

Good game, looked assured at the back (admittedly Hearts are pretty impotent with Nade, but I'll take it). Converting chances still not the best, but we won and Rangers didn't, so it's been a good night.

Aiden showed some great skill in the second half. hope this starts a good run of games for him. Samaras played 10 mins didnt have time to get into the game.

finally beginning to play with the fluidity we were promised when mowbray came in.

if it wasn't for the lino at fir park being in the funny handshake brigade and mark reynolds being a dunderheided * the gap would just be 7.

mind you, i would have taken an eight point gap at the beginning of the night

Great performance all around, midfield and defense looked exceptionally solid. Loovens even got a great goal. Rogne and Thompson had no real trouble, Braafheid is a beast. Caddis and McGeady are a great attacking combination on the right side, best game McGeady's played in a long while. Kamara actually looked comfortable playing on the left wing and I think he's a real player. Maybe Mowbray's words gave Fortune confidence because he looked great, Keano was a constant threat but we still probably should have scored more than 2 goals. But a 2-0 win and a Hun draw is a great start to working our way back to the championship. Hail! Hail!

Boruc made one clearance and made one punch. Thats pretty much only when i saw him active.

Got to be content with the results of tonight though. But particularly chance creation Keano. Wasn't your night, but the mobility of Keane, Fortune, Mcgeady and Kamara meant that there was always something on going forward.

I saw Motherwell's disallowed goal, I don't understand why it was ruled out to be honest, Motherwell should have won that, but still 2 points dropped from Rangers, closes the gap at least.
Great game from us thought McGeady was head & shoulders above everyone else, he was superb tonight :50:, Just pity Keano couldn't buy a goal, I counted at least 5 good chances for him to get his goal, I think he's wanting to score so badily, thats the problem, but when he gets that goal (At Celtic Park), he should be off & running, great score tho & we were comfortable winners :icon_mrgreen:

i feel that was the first near-flawless performance of the season. only problems i noticed were:

-Thompson's poor pass in the first half to a hearts man
    -McGeady's final ball
    -Samaras.

But I dont want to slate McGeady too much as he was feeding Keano and Fortuné very good through balls. Looks like TM has made a good judgement on the Fortuné-Keano pairing...

Personally I thought Braafheid played the best - he showed true grit and almost managed to get one in the net himself whilst being rocksolid in his left-back position.

Shame we didnt really get to see Rogne in action, but today I think that that's because of the infinitely better support the mid-field were giving to the defensive line...

    MORE OF THE SAME PLEASE!!!!

    HAIL HAIL

Solid at the back, solid in midfield. Kamara and McGeady caused problems, Keane and Fortune looked sharp.

Should have been more, but we looked very comfortable which is good.

I liked Ki again when he came on, but Samaras wasn't great.

8 points now. Still a real uphill battle but its a start.

a comfortable win. i think the team is starting to gel. the defenders are getting more confident. edson has given us security down the left flank. brown has gave us a lot in midfield, his aggression, tackling and bullying give us a physical advantage which helped us dominate the game tonight!

all in all - A GREAT NIGHT!

Good performance and 3 points. Could be interesting this weekend if we beat the Dons before they play. I've seen people on this complain about the huns playing on Sunday but if we win at Pittodrie, it may put more pressure on them having to wait an extra 24 hours
