They have a more settled team as their players know each other's game due to playing together for longer. We will improve with time.

Well talking about having a spine that really cares about celtic.... If mowbray had got his man in St Ledger we would have had Boruc, St Ledger, Brown and Keane down the center of the park all who would care more than anything about this club. I also beleive that Hooiveld will care 200% about this club and could be here a long time IMO.

I would have Nguemo, Ki and Brown over McCulloch Thomson and Davis everyday of the week as they are all talented players, its just that the latter have had more playing time together and our players have not yet gelled.

That is a good way of putting it. You need the blend of skill and steel. I think you need a bit of a tough article (one each) at CB, CM and CF ideally. That gives you the spine onto which to graft the skill. Both MON and WGS teams usually had that. The nearest Mogga now has to that would be Jos, Brown and Rass. I think they will help but none are playing/fit as yet.

The difference is they are a solid unit, very difficult to break down, very effective on the break and know how to hold teams out, they've been playing this way for years, we've had a total reshuffle and its gunna take time to gel.

I think the main difference is that they know each other inside out, since they have no seen a new face for donkeys

We on the other hand are not yet a team , but if/when we do become one we will destroy the scummy basterds. Just look at the game at parkhead, we are more than capable of beating them...

I'd sum it up like this.

Rangers and their manager have one objective:
    1. Winning.

We and our manager have TWO objectives:
    1. Playing a certain way.
    2. Winning.
(in that order for BTM - as his time at West Brom PROVED.)

That's why it always seems like an uphill battle for us, we're juggling two - at times polarised - objectives.

    Difference between Celtic and Rangers

    1. Lee McCulloch, look at the shot he at Hampden, straight at the goalie and it just goes in, can you imaging Celtic scoring that goal, dosent happen.

    2. Kenny Miller, runs through on Boruc and mishits it right down middle and it rolls in. Can you imagine Samaras running through on McGregor and the same shot resulting in a goal. No.

    3. Davie Weir, against Celtic in the 3-2 game, runs spins in air and ball hits back of head and goes in. Cant imagine Loovens scoring that goal against them, just dosent happen.

    4. Lafferty tackle on Hinkel. Always a straight red. Think what we've had players sent off for in last decade. Thompson on Novo, Hartson HELPING Malcolm, Thompson squaring upto Lovenkrands

The Huns are carrying immense luck that we dont

    I agree whole heartedly.

I think that these 3 players have very similar qualities, don't ask me how I know in such a short space of time with the 2 new bhoys - it just comes across that way.

They all have a swagger & even the 2 new bhoys have said they have that wee nasty streak which all true winners have. Brown is a good choice as captain, he has this in abundance - I just hope he controls it & uses it positively.

i feel that if we cant cut the gap to atleast 4 points by the end of the season tony has to go.there is no excuses cos we have far better players than any team in the league.the only huns in my eyes who would maybe get a start for us would be boughy or davis the rest are pants

Huns have had momentum for a whole year now and bar a few up and downs during that time they have maintained their level of consistency fairly well..

We have proven to be the better team in the OF games through posession and domination of the match but the whole story of our season has been failure to put away chances and conceding soft goals..

The huns are playing close to their potential in the SPL , they've enjoyed quite a few breaks this season and they've been given far too much respect from the rest of the teams in this league..
Walter Smith isn't that great a manager , he's never been one for flair players or to implement exciting formations..
Like he did with Scotland , he takes journeyman and no frills players and moulds them into a unit where everyone knows their job , and his "if it moves , kick it" motto goes largely unchallenged by the hun FA Organisation..

Time for us to start playing effective football against all our opposition and if we can do that we'll show the huns up for what they really are.. second rate..

I agree with this post and mark venus admitted it in a newspaper last year by saying they played only one way and that if they did not win any trophies then so be it. we are now seeing the fruits of this style.

I think the biggest difference between Celtic and Rangers at this present time is RUTHLESSNESS.

Rangers clear their lines, keep it simple at the back and when a chance to score presents itself they take it. We * about with the ball around our own box and miss sitters at the other end. That's the difference.

They have stuck together this season, especially since it was formally announced around Nov 09, that finacially they were in the *!
Thoiugh that logic isn't helping Portsmouth.
I still think that a more than average number of decisions have not went there way and by the opposite effect they have had some * decisions go there way
So I say the main difference that there is a CONSPIRACY behind the scenes to save the CREAM BUNS!

I understand your point BUT don't ever criticise Tony Mowbray for wanting us to play good football. Remember how dull the football was under Gordon Strachan........a lot of us had got bored of watching it because it was *. Tony Mowbray is trying to give us what we want.....he hasn't mastered it yet(obviously) but don't knock the man for trying. If he gets it right I know you will be on here singing his praises. Let's see how all the new signings get on. :50:
