Its obvious that Paddy McCourt has alot of ability and he is the kind of player Celtic need right now.He has bags of skill and flair and the likes of Keane would love the passes and movement he provides.

Whats are the views on Paddy McCourt.

Its obvious that Paddy McCourt has bags of ability and he is the ideal player Celtic need right now.He provides a different dimension to Celtic and more often than not,he has an end product, which McGeady is not providing right now.The likes of Keane would love the delivery McCourt could bring and with the amount of skill and flair he has,i dont see why he cant be a regular for Celtic Fc..

He can't edge 90 minutes, he's excellent cameo performer. I honestly think he does more for those 20 minutes or so on field than half of our players for 90 minutes. When he has the ball, you just know something will happen.

But, like every player, he has flaws. He doesn't track back often and some of his solo runs are doing my head in when he loses the ball cheaply instead of laying off ball to someone. But he's still very important player for us and I think he'll be very useful when McGeady leaves in summer.

    THAT IS ALL.

Can last 20 minutes max ! Yes he can beat couple of men but watch when he's not on ball , he hides till he gets a pass again . I've watched him carefully even when out to warm up n he's the laziest player I have ever seen at Parkhead. May be a big player in league of Ireland but feel that's his standard not with a club like Celtic.

Would have been an absolute joy to see him play as a 2nd half sub in a MON team on a regular basis..
Unfortunately the current team doesn't function good enough without Paddy (I feel you'd have to accomodate him by dropping someone which isn't an option right now) and if he were to start games then I don't think he'd be able to give the defensive cover that you occasionaly get from Mcgready or McGinn or Maloney tracking back as it would take far too much from Paddy's attacking play.. An entertainer/luxury that can only be used sparingly untill the team grows a backbone and can accomodate an individual performance act.. Cup games against opposition that we should be able to beat convincingly and cameos in SPL matches are all I can see for him due to TM deeming other players being more integral to the team he's building..

The reason he don't get a game is because he can't last more than 20 mins ! Great for tricky runs twice a game that's it. Just not got what it takes to be a pro footballer, I've seen him at Lennoxtown n he's the laziest trainer in the whole team . He has a fantastic chance to get fit n prove he is a player but I feel he's signed for Hoops n thinks that he's made it . Please give him a shake as he will be back in Ireland playing if he don't get finger out n try make an effort.

He is the only true entertainer in our squad, but I agree should be a super sub.

Talented but lazy and needs to realise he has a lot to do to to prove himself, Wish someone would take him aside and motivate him to at least try to improve his effort

Not a 90 min player for me, great for cameo's and can change a game if its needed. Great asset for the squad!

He can shoot and he's got skill.

I think he's got more weaknesses than strengths.

I dont we are ever going to see Paddy play a full 90mins for Celtic ,he doesnt seem to have that engine in him but what he does in 30 mins is turn the game in Celtic's favour when he has the ball ,very affective player to have coming on.

What do you base your opinion on ?????? McCourt is a quality player and has proved it on many occasions, some of his goals are unbelievable.

agree he is a last 30 min. player but he can turn games better than anyone else at the club including mcgeady. celtic should be able to accomodate a player with less stamina for that period of the game.

I think he is a brilliant talent when fully fit, but at the minute he can only last 20 minutes. I think he will become very useful when Maloney is back fit.
