The report is on sky sports news this morning that he is on his way to Burnley, This is some load of Boll*x, is Mowbray gonna sell the waterboy next?

Who exactly are we gonna use at left back now, I know he hasnt been playing recently but he has became an established team memeber over last 6 months and should be kept for the league showdown

Oh and it also looks like McManus is heading to Boro! :97:

I think it's a joke, that means he's gonna have sold 6 players and brought in 2 maybe 3, mainly for the future, fox is a good player and we haven't had him for long, and with all the injuries we need to keep mcmanus because there's no one else

just because we get an offer doesn't mean we have to sell, we can say no

and would WGS please sod off, stop buying from us

Sounds like internal issues to me, something the ordinary fan can only speculate at until either party - Celtic or Fox come out in the press and claim what happened.

The quickness and silence from Mowbray and Fox tells me something has happened for the boy to be punted.

We have just under a week left to buy another left back if Fox goes to Burnley, if Mc Manus goes and Strachan buys him that's also a great piece of business, it means we've unloaded 75% of a tragic back four as far as I'm concerned.

Let Tony Mowbray manage the team and the players, he's obviously bought Fox and after watching him for a few months he's changed his mind on his ability, so why not punt him if he's not up to the job.

I would not class Fox as a good full back, mind you I think the same about Hinkel, none of them are good enough defencively. Wallace (Hearts) and Mulgrew (Aberdeen) both offer far more than Fox.

apparently he just hasn't settled in Scotland, happens a lot, better him go now than prolong the situation like Naylor who can't find a club now.

I agree. He gets caught out of position too much. Maybe TM just decided to cut his losses as he wasn't as good as he thought

I still think we'd be better keeping him, but this all sounds like personal stuff. Hasn't settled in Glasgow? Something else? Personality clashes? Looks like there's not much TM can do about it, otherwise he wouldn't punt him.

Mulgrew hasn't even been first pick for Aberdeen at times this season. I really don't think he's better than Fox - undoubtedly has a better free-kick, but his general play is generally pretty naive.

*edit* OK quick disclaimer I ahve just checked Mulgrews stats and he is one of Aberdeens most regular starters but I do recall and interview back with Jimmy Caldwood who dropped him for a game or two and was slagging him off, not that Caldwerwood knows much, I still think Fox's general play is far superior.

Fox wasnt up to the standard so he is being sold, but we need to bring in a left back quick stick, someone better than him and naylor!
Fox runs about the park like a lost school girl, hes atrosious defensivley.

He has not really impressed me that much. if we can get more for him than we spent then I'm happy.

But nothing is done yet so I'm not concerned about losing another player. in case we decide to sell him, there's still 5 days left to get another one in.

    relax people.

I was under the impression he was brought in initially for his attacking ability and most certainly his set piece skills, but both have been extremely poor. His defending is mediocre. However no point getting rid of without sufficient back up!
