    He is 19, nearly 20. 20 year olds WILL be challenging for the first team. Mowbray even . Im said he would be in the first team, pushing Joos and Loovens all the way (more so than Odea anyway). If we sell Broony then we could even get a striker so its all good.

    Throw into that the sale of your best centre half, the only midfielder with dig, were being told Brown can go the only other player left the could have dig about him, His signings so far havent be great - Fox - no better than naylor, fortune - pish, n'guemo - only good one out the lot.

    Ki looks ok but is out now for 3 weeks, Jos - I will need to se ehim play wasnt keen on it when I heard he got told to * offf from livinston 3 yeas ago for not being able to cope with the standard of the game (and they were 1st/2nd division) but I'll give him his chance, Rogne - one for the future who could be good, but w eneed them now not for 3 years time.


    Aye exactly mate there usually left to rot in reserves or on bench to make up u-21 rule then sold eventually, we need players for now to claw back what we can not players that arent going to play for a few years

    Welcome To Celtic Thomas, and personally I think the club should never stop signing the best young players to come hear.. Two center backs at 6ft 3, The Asian young player of the year who strolled through his debut and all we need now is a striker whats everyone moaning about?

    I agree. Just because we never heard of him does not mean he wont be a top player for our club. Same response from fans after we signed mcginn and he is turning out to be a great signing. I would rather sign promising youngsters than waste money on ageing mercenaries like benni mccarthy.

    How does anybody know that he won't be ready for the 1st team sooner than later?
    No-one has seen him play, he might settle easy plus McManus isn't the best competiton is he. Don't be so quick to judge, you jsut don't know.
    I really don't think he will be our last. There is 1 place that is imperative of a player, striker.

    Welcome Thomas . Must be good if we signed him after a trial. We never sign trialist . This guys got european experience as far as i know.He definitely played against Valencia

    It'll be craig thompson of hearts once he recovers from his injury. I dont think people understand how much needed/needs changed from unders 19s through to the first team. Im all for this transaction period.

    aye it looks like he's took Caldwell's number so is that a sign that this guy will be pushing for a first team place? at the very least we have quite a couple options at cb now; mick, loovens, odea, thompson, rogne and possibly senderos? thats a far healthier state of affairs than earlier in the season

    is this a signing thats gonna help us win this years league and scottish cup. i dont think so. i welcome the bhoy but feel a deep sense of disappointment we arent addressing the current first team frailties. we need players who are gonna deliver NOW. there was a time when signing a relatively unknown 19 year old player wouldnt even have merited a mention in the press. back to the oven for me. sigh
