    * performance.

    And to think people wanted O'Dea in, he's useless, had the ball poked in front of him and then he stumbled to the ground.

    Thompson seemed okay, Ki has a nice touch, but we need a goal scorer.

    Also I thought that McManus might've been fouled leading up to their goal and Fortune was dragged down for what should've been a penalty in the second half imo.

    No sense of urgency in the second hafl, had we continued with the play from the first we would've won, but we were just deflated after the break. Poor.

    Samaras and Fortune'e do not work as a partnership up front. They both work hard and we'll play plenty good football with those two up front but we'll never score enough goals to be successful. I hope all the people on here who think Scott McDonald is * and that we could easily do without him will now realise that we NEED him. Tony Mowbray better wake up and realise it too. He is the only forward we have who is direct and will score the sort of scrappy goals that every team needs to score. Unless there is another striker coming in, Scott McDonald MUST play.

    Samaras and Fortune'e is not the way forward. Hurry back Skippy, we need you.

    Celtic had three players playing today...Ki, Sammy and Thompson looked promising, the rest were * poor. Mowbray better hope the board has the patience of a saint.

    Thought this was a dangerous game, what with the recent departures; Caldwell, Robson, especially Nguemo and MacDonald all out. I don't really rate Loovens, but I hope he was injured as brining O' Dea in was a not a great idea; not just in hindsight, but in general.

    Urgency seems to be the thing we are really missing, especially second half. From what I saw of the game which wasn't much McGeady has maybe started believing all the hype about him, or he is unsettled by it all. There were too many instances of him trying to beat everyone instead of using the easy pass.

    It is exciting being linked with lots of players although we need to bring in match fit players of quality now, with defence an absolute priority for me.

    When the dust settles from this, the cold facts remain that we are 6 points behind with a game in hand. If, and I admit right now if is a big word, we win it, we will only be 3 points behind a team which will drop more points.

    The league is not over yet, not by a long stretch of the imagination. We are not going to sack the manager now for financial reasons alone never mind the disharmony and readjustments it would bring. We need to keep roaring the team on. Well most of them, maybe not Naylor..

    * gutted, really am :54:

    Our back 4 that started contained O'Dea, Mick and Naylor. Three players that shouldn't even be at Celtic now never mind starting, all 3 are rank rotten.

    We've went and sold 2 guys in Caldwell and Robson that are natural leaders and it is blatantly obvious it was the wrong move after 1 game. Who in there wanted to take that game by the scruff of the neck and score the winner? It was all style and no substance and that's when the experienced leaders provide you with an edge, an edge that is lost forever from our squad now and will take time to replace.

    The league is a goner on that showing today :54:

    We have the same troubles under Mowbray. An early blunder happens, which the adversary unfortunately takes advantage of. We do score one goal, but then the opponent closes ranks, and we cannot capitalise on our pressure. This comes as a result of Mowbray's style, which is troubled by bunkers. We don't know how to crack open teams when they pull into their box. Until we find a formula how to, we will have issues in the SPL and elsewhere.
    Even if Thompson did fairly well, what good does it do when we leaked a goal before he was on? We need to find a strong defensive pairing immediately. One positive I see is that our set pieces problem has been solved. I just don't understand why does Ki let Naylor take some of them??

    That's a really interesting point actually Hammer. I hadn't considered that. We have all agreed over the last year or so that the team has lacked leadership and we have just gone and sold probably the two biggest leaders we had. Hmmmmm........ we may have made a grievous error there. :54:

    Terrible. Mcgeady has obviously been Reading the papers this morning, trying to beat everyone on his own. Fortune did * all, samaras did nothing other than the goal. Naylor, mcmanus and odea aren't fit to wear the jersey and every one knows it.

    Ki showed a decent touch, and crosas was good. Other than that no pass marks.

    Mowbrays only tactic when he isn't winning is to go gung ho. Why the * would you take off crosas who is running the game for mcginn. The team completely lost it's shape after that. The thing is you couldn't even see where the second goal was going to come from, nobody was putting any urgency into the game.

    The league is there's to lose now. Time to stop kidding ourselves that wer the better side and wer gonna win the league. It's pathetic.

    In saying all this I thought we had a stonewall penalty denied and I thought their big striker fouled mcmanus before their goal.

    I can't see where we go from here.
