Joe Ledley transfer?

i think if he wanted to sign for us then he would have by now he wants to stay in a middle fighting team in the epl ranther than comeing to a spl title winning champions league/ europa league qualifing club so it shows hes after the money so i think this thread should be closed tbh hes a goner

Look around and speak to celtic. see if he fancies the club and we think he has character to succeed at the club. Lots of players visit the club and leave without an offer. We dont know what the chat was/is.

 

if we cant sign him what about the Swansea lad Pratly im told he is a great player

 

really pathetic to hold a grudge against him if he doesn't sign for us.

Sounds so desperate when people say "he will sign for us, we can give him champions league football". cringeworthy man, look at our last campaign

 

not really. if he signed for roma or everton i would have no problem with that but signing for stoke over celtic? Shows a real lack of ambition to me as he'll just be in a relegation battle next year and possibly right back down to the championship

 

I don't think Stoke is lacking ambition. He has the opportunity at a club doing well in the EPL (FOR THEIR SIZE). the ambition is to be playing against some of the best players in the world and to keep the club performing as they have been...top half of table.

 

people keep saying the best players in the world but charlie adam, gary caldwell, steven fletcher are all down there doing well and none of them really impressed me when they were up here.

 

They are all playing for teams who are either just up in the EPL or fight for their life each season. Most of the teams have good quality in their ranks.

 

yes but these players are impressing down there but up here they were duds which is why i think english football is overrated by a lot of people

 

Charlie Adam has never played in the premiership. Fletcher has had 1 season...as has Caldwell...and he was ok rather than impressive.

 

charlie adam is going to the prem with a great reputation from last season. Fletcher just got signed for 7 mill so he obviously did something right but i'll give you the caldwell one just been going by my mates word on him not kept an eye on him since his move

 

Stoke are Pish!!

They punched above their weight last year, but they will be relegated if not this year, next year or the year after he will go for long periods chasing the ball and thats not his game, if anything it will be detrimental to his career.

By signing for us he will get the chance to play football, play in europe and win trophies and ultimately get the chance of a move to a big team in england if thats what he really wants.

there may be a few reasons why he would choose them over us but there are just as many reasons why he would choose us. Its an open playing field at the moment, if he is clever he will choose us even if its only on a short term deal.
