Burnley boss Owen Coyle is battling it out with Scottish giants CELTIC for Monaco's France Under-21 striker Frederic Nimani AND United States midfielder Ricardo Clark.
Coyle is in talks to bring giant forward Nimani to Turf Moor to give his attack some new options and he hopes to pull off a loan deal - with a view to a buy - in the next few days.
But now Tony Mowbray's Celtic have invited Nimani for talks about signing for them

Nimani has been in dispute with Monaco's coaching staff this season after being left on the bench.

The 6ft 4in starlet also appeared for France's Under-21 side but that international place is at risk because of the problems at Monaco.

The wealthy outfit are ready to let Nimani go on loan and into the shop window but eventually want to sell him for a big fee, possibly as high as £4million.

Mowbray is confident of landing Clark from MLS side Houston Dynamo, who has caught the eye as a holding midfielder this year.

And while Burnley can offer Premnier League football, Clark is believed to favour a move to Celtic.

Would take Nimani without a doubt. 21 yearold youth international that stands at 6"4 yes please.

Someone that gets * off because he got left on the bench... we already have a moaner in our team

Not sure we need a defensive mid either, maybe we're just trying to tap into the US market

I'm American and I have to say I'm always impressed with Ricardo Clark, he's a ball winning defensive midfielder who is also a great passer. Clark is a regular starter for the U.S. national team that has put in some spectacular performances lately (specifically there strong showing at the Confederations Cup).

Also it would be a great marketing move, Football (or soccer) is growing rapidly in the United States and will only increase once the World Cup takes place. At the college I attend almost everyone of my mates supports a European club team and it seems like everyday I meet someone who wants to become involved in Football.

So I'm hoping at least the Clark deal does come to be, because he is one * of a player and will add marketability.

Oh and the best thing: He's out of contract so he will be FREE

I like the sound of Nimani as we don't have a big target man up front at the club. Sounds like he would be a loan deal but given he would know he is in the shop window he would be motivated.

The blooming size o him! I could imagine the terror running through the SPL's defenders if he signed. Never heard of either though so i have no comment. :icon_mrgreen:

No. I expect to see Brown and Robson leave within the next two windows so we'd need another Midfielder.

If those two go we'd have : N'Guemo , Crosas , Ki , Zhi (think Mogga sees him as more attacking ) , Flood and Clark

Clark is quite an industrious player and gets stuck in.

Nimani is a beast. Would sign him on loan probably with a view to a deal.

I think a suitable signing would be Robert Lewandowski not cause he's good on FM! Ive saw him play live and looks top quality. Stands at 6FT and is skilful and scores a helluva lot of goals.

Give us Nimani on loan and Giroud permanent :icon_mrgreen: If this deal goes through I think we might get Nimani on loan till the end of the season and we will get Giroud on a ki type deal where he'll sign in jan and come in july.

Imagine two 6"4 strikers  One good on the ball and a good finisher and the other fast and strong

Lewandowski would be amazing scores a barrel load plus if we bring in Stilic, they two have a great understanding :50: I think Lewandowski would cost a fair bit because of the hype.

We've been linked with about 3 teams full of players already and the window isn't even open :56:

I take every single one with a pinch of salt, including guys like Giroud who say we've been in contact with his agent.

You can't see it in the video but Ruiz was also sent off. Apparently he punched Clark in the kidney before they went down to the ground.

This. "El Pescadito" was largely reviled as the bitchiest and dirtiest player in MLS... kind of like McCulloch only he also dived at the feeling of a slight breeze. Rico should have aimed for the *'s face.

I agree mate, I usually try and force myself to watch the MLS but I just get * when I watch Ruiz:31:. However I am really hoping Clark becomes a Bhoy, I take it offensively that the Huns have two key American player's while the Celts only American is our 3rd keeper.

look like two good players - but we're linked with so many atm i'm starting to get confused - i cant wait till the window opens and we can see some business done. Clark might get a lesson from loovens if he comes too - how to kick a player and not get sent off :icon_mrgreen: sorry to the americans who may be offended that it was maurice edu

Coincidentally enough, that challenge on Edu is what ended up giving Clark playing time for the Confederation's Cup, and his play at the Confederation's Cup is what is getting him noticed.
