so what? if people hate the tri color so much they must have some issue..its not infringing on the rights of others..only on their small minds that arent big enough to understand the significance of it.

ordering celtic to stop flying the irish flag while letting rangers sectarian signing policy go unquestioned

i believe bob kelly would have taken celtic out of the league rather than give in to the bigots and for that reason we should always fly the tricolour

no problems with fans flying saltires at celtic games but those who say we should stop flying the irish flag are pandering to the bigots

lets all be honest in the context of the old firm both flags are symbols of bigotry and hate im anglo irish ive been to many Celtic games and let me say now that some of the pro RA songs have disgusted me as much as the trash coming out of mouth of the other mob both set of supporters in there time have sang songs extolling the murder of the innocents both setts of fans have idolized those who would kill in the name of kith and kin regardless of the collateral damage and to what end? i grew up in east London as i said i have a Irish heritage which im proud of i never have and never will accept the need to kill women and children in the name of politicians i in an early post someone said to billy boy to read his history in reply i say this history is one thing facts are quite often a different beast all together history the ira was unstoppable but yet we now know that the british government through out the 80/90s had infiltrated the leadership of the movement to such an extent that security services were able to direct the RAs to take out loyalist whom they believed would hinder the peace process again in the 80s when both loyalist and RAs murders were creating mayhem in NI they were at the same time in London cooperating in the importation and distribution of drugs infact both parties had based them self in an irish pub on kingsland high road in hackney in east london corner of arcola street knore is that the first time these two so called armies have seen fit to co-operate my point is football is football leave the * behind

I think there are 2 reasons why we see Irish flags at Celtic matches but very few Scottish flags..........

    1. The Saltire is blue and white - that probably puts a lot of Celtic fans off flying it.
    2. There is no wind up factor if you fly a Scottish flag - Flying Irish flags makes us different, it is something that no other club's fans in Scotland would do. That's part of our identity and part of the attraction imo.

I wouldn't mind seeing a few Lion Rampants mixed in with the Tricolours at Celtic matches tbh.

Makes me feel shame when people insult a topic poster only on the basis that he would like to see more Saltires. You can't force people to pretend their Irish, if he wants Saltire at the game, fair does, no need to give him grief over it.
