We`re right not to expect too much from him early on, but its great to see the club doing business like this.

especially as the huns can only watch on and dream of spending £2m on a player this january!

Really hope he does well :celt_2:

He speaks better English than Scott Brown !!

I think he has already said that mate

And why not throw him in the deep end ?? if he is good enough then why not ?/ He is a full international and Asian player of the year :50:

He's got a fair bit to do to dislodge Crosas and N'Guemo if TM fancies him for the middle. Unless he'll stick him out wide or as a second striker?

    Agree, on current form.

Mowbray likely to drip feed him in, try him in a few different places before he asks him to push for a permanent position.

He says he'd like to be the new Gerrard. If he can hack that role immediately, we'll squeeze him in somewhere, anytime soon. If he can do a Petrov, then that'll do.

(course, he might be a Mizuno :54:)

great news this but thought it was abit weird earlier anyone else see SSN and it said in their profile about Ki that he is a "boyhood Celtic fan". Find that hard to believe tbh but hopefully the Korean Gerrard comparison is true.

Can't wait to see the new Bhoy! He looks like a very skilled player, especially in deadball situations...

I think unless he plays somewhere else he will find it difficult to get into the team with n'guemo and crosas both performing well. Very excited to see him play looks like a quality player.

I think all the talk of not expecting too much of this guy is real balls,

its hangover from Strachans buying of any 'oul lad with a pair of boots, with 20%-30% turning out half decent....

I think we should expect great things from any player we sign for the first team
@edit....actually I think we should demand it, if Celtic truly is a great club, we should demand greatness from our players, we have accepted mediocrity too often!!

in the case of young players going into a youth system, then we shouldnt expect too much

but come on, this guy is a full international!!!

He should be hitting the ground running!!! (allthough he may need a few weeks to bed in first)

    YouTube - Korean Bhoy - Ki Sung-Yong

that is a good overall video, looks quality, seems like he can shoot and his passes at the end were amazing, great for a counter attack, looks like crosas has competition

we can now close the penalty duties thread!
hope he turns out how im hoping and thinking he will
id say if he cant get in the centre he could play rigth like naka did
naka never had the pace to run by players but he could always out smart them and deliver a cross he could be the carbon copy:icon_mrgreen:
