There seems to be a lot of high expectations floating around for Ki. I have never seen the guy play so I am reserving judgement for the moment. I just hope that if he gets off to a slow start at Celtic, which is quite possible because he's young and moving to a strange country with a very different culture and style of football, he doesn't receive the same treatment Fortune'e has received from some of our fans.

We might need to be patient with this lad but hopefully he's going to be a good player for us.

Dont think a bit of you tube video should have people wanting him to play in the old firm. Praying he is as good as the hype

Pat Nevin says he will walk straight into our team and be the best since Petrov.

I'll be honest and say I've never seen him play. We just have to hope he can adapt to the different culture quickly.

Like stilian/stylian petrov, hope he's good, not 100% confident a player from Bolton can change our fortune. But still heres for hoping!

We didn't get him from Bolton Dude, your getting mixed up with Lee Chung-Yong, thats the guy that plays for Bolton we have Ki Sung- Yong & we got him from FC Seoul..

Altho watching Bolton v Man City yesterday that Lee Chung- Yong looks a good player, if Bolton go down maybe Celtic should have a cheeky wee bid for him :50:

I think we could well have a wee gem on our hands here. 17 caps for South Korea at 20 years of age is no small acheivement, and scouting on youtube makes for some good watching.

    Welcome to Paradise!

i think for everyone's sake, we should not expect him to be a hit straight away.

he is only 20, a lot of people saying he is a decent player and that, but he is coming here from the other side of the world, a country that couldn't be more different than scotland, playing with people he has never met, under a manager he has very little knowledge about(compared to other players) and has a language big barrier that could take a while to overcome, so it might take until next season until he starts to show what he can do.

if we expect too much then we will go in a huff and call him *, put extra pressure on mowbray and ki himself. lets just wait and see what he does over here before we start saying he is the korean gerrard.
