    It's great to see Samaras doing the business again. The run he is on at the moment reminds me very much of the run of form he had at the start of last season. Hopefully he will not fall away again this time round.

    Something I've noticed in the last 3 or 4 matches is that Samaras and McDonald are beginning to work as a partnership, something they had never done before. In the past they looked like they had no understanding of what each other wanted or what each other was doing. That seems to have changed. It's great to see and I hope the two of them keep working together and for each other. If they do, it can only be a positive thing for us going forward.

    best striker in the league when he is confident, if he played every game , he will score goals ALL THE TIME . if he made that striker spot his own and the fans got fully behind him as they would with performances like lately..he would be unplayable. dont forget how good he was until he got injured early last season, think he scored 7 in 7 at one point.

    always said he was our best striker , and although some may disagree, just look at his performance today.

    Does it seem to anyone else that getting consistent international time has helped him to regain confidence after last years injuries? It seems to me that he's playing as well as he's ever played. I've always liked the player, and I think he'll be great from us if we keep him in the first team. It's hard to maintain consistency when you never know if you are going to play. Regardless, great match today!

    yes he scored 2 goals today and played very well but hes usually utter useless 1 good game now and thn is not good enough get rid in january and get some1 in who wants to work for his wage packet at the end of the month i hate seein in prancy about that park like a big * !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

    Nonsense, Samaras has a more than decent scoring record for us and is not 'usually utter useless' as much as you would like it to be true. Also, whats this nonsense about not working for his wage packet? Samaras covers more ground than any of our other strikers and a similar amount to many of our midfielders.

    spot on, appart from the as good as anyone bit. but today we saw what he can do, some of his touches to get past defenders, particularly in the first half where he just left him for dead. ha is quite inconsistent, even in the same game, but i kinda like that, means defenders have no idea what so ever about what he is gonna do.

    i think on the whole the celtic fans are desperate for sammi to be the man. the problem is his consistency levels are poor. and he turns like the QE2. hopefully now he can settle into the player we want him to be......its easy to forget he's still pretty young. looking forward to better and better fae captain caveman.

    I think that for many of the level headed fans this is true, however there seems to be a sizable element of the support just waiting for him to make a bad pass or miss a chance so that they can give him grief. In games where he shines, like today, he only receives grudging praise from this crowd.

    I feel some peoples attitudes towards him might be different if he was a pasty-faced, shaven-headed snarler.

    ok bhoys and ghirls i dont want to get in to some pety little argument about how bad this man is he runs round the park gettin no where the majority of the time he plays out wide if he wants to play wide we should play him as a winger !! and when he picks the ball up in attack he drives towards our defence. He is the most awkward player iv seen in the hoops BUT EVERY1 TO THERE OWN OPINIONS

    You say you don't want an arguement, then go on to make yet more critisisms?!? What you mean is, you don't want anyone to respond with the positives that Samaras brings to the team, as it makes your bad mouthing of him look both ill-informed and petty.

    If you don't want your thoughts or opinions to be challenged, the best thing to do is simply keep them to yourself.
