Its a Celtic Director (Denis O'Brien) thats paying his wages for the FAI.

He could do a job for us till the end of the season.

totally agree. Managers make a huge difference. There are many cases of one manager getting far more out of the same players than another. Some managers whole careers are based on getting average players to punch above their weight. Some managers alwasy improve every team they go to.

..parading your misery like some badge of honour

Fortunately good leaders and good managers dont share the same eternal pessimism as you, people who succeed in life dont give up, they learn and they move on and they believe in what they are doing. you brand him an 'idiot' but he deserves more credit than that, his team isn't functioning the way he would like, but he isnt an idiot, he will know what needs to be done, its obvious anyway we havent got any fire power, we * all over the united today but got undun in the end by slack defending and having crap strikers thats not mowbrys fault, thats personnel, you need to get the right people in. I think we will be up challenging for the league by the end of the season, other teams will be dropping points too along the way..

One of the reasons why I wouldnt give him much longer is Levein. If we are going to sack Mowbray I would like it to time nicely so that Levein is not head hunted by someone else first. It sickens me it came to this TBH. Everything about Moggas approach to the game and persona had alarm bells ringing for me before he joined. I much prefer the old fashioned training ground coaches who players have a mix of respect and fear of. It may not be PC but many of the worlds best managers over the years are scary very stubborn * that the players wouldnt dare cross.

In my opinion the buck stops with the manager, the way things are going at the moment we'll win hee haw this season. I'm not usually as reactionary as calling for the Managers job after less than half a season but judging what I've seen to date we need to make some serious changes in the backroom staff and on the pitch.

I've been winding my D Utd supporting friend for ages about how we're going to take Levein. If Mowbray goes, I would hope it was true. But I wouldn't actually be confident about Levein wanting to sign for us.

Levein is not the be all and end all, we should have ambitions beyond managers who blow hot and cold.

Wow i told you all, don't go for mogga and get Bilic, because he was a great defender and could teach them so much more, he also loved the attacking style and did it properly, unlike mogga.
But the replies i got were, "he has no club managing experience"
So the other name i put in the hat was Csaba Laszlo.
He keeps his players on the training ground for hours, and has a very smart head.
Players like Driver and Wallace would easily come beacuase they truly like him.
    Pack your bags mogga

Another one like myself, Most laughed at us at the time but well looks like Mowbray has prved us right and them wrong, I honestly dont understand half the people backing him up, The go into another thread and slag Barnes / Le Guen. They both have better records than Mowbray, 9 wins out of 22 just isnt good enough......

I honestly think if Bilic managed us he would do the same thing Clough did with Derby, not the fact that he took them from the bottom of league 2 to league 1 champs in a year, but give us inspiration and take us to a great champions league run, unlike mogga who cant even do well in the uefa,FFS.

Or thge SPL for that matter !!

If you look back to my posts at the time we were looking for a new manager I always said Bilic, and people came out with all sorts of abuse. Thats came back to bite them on there * now. I would personally sack Mowbray in the morning and bring in Bilic immediately. If he knocked it back then Trappatoni would be target number 2, Celtic basically pay his wages at the moment anyway (well one of celtics irish directors)
