    cont.

For the lazy of mind who seek to toe the masters line of conformity, I am no ned who thinks he is Irish. I am a supporter of the SNP and a proud Celtic fan, knowledgable in our history and welcoming to all. I will not however put up with lazy smears about those who share my views, the way my club is being run or forced to respect an organisation that has never shown remorse for it's murderous ways. Remember this was an army who would not have hesitated to murder Glaswegians at will should the Goerge Square protests have gone any further than raising the red flag. The machine gun nests on City Chambers and the subsequent strange housing developments in Glasgow’s east end that included streets wide enough to bring in the tanks should the natives revolt.

You guys who believe that Scottish means toeing the British line without question need to have a wee think. Or the simplistic "I have mates in the army and they are aw Tims"

Does this really assuage those of us who remember within living memory what your mates would have been part to, ie. oppressing their 'fellow Tims' in their own country. Please go and educate yourselves before having the audacity to lecture others about something you know nothing about.

I would humby suggest that posters don't allow themselves to be sucked in to a personal slagging match and endanger their own profile on the board. :50::shamrock:

I disagree with a fair bit of what you say in your post but we will leave it at that, this debate/slanging match has been going on for days now and I can't be arsed going into it again.
    Agree to disagree?:50:

We all have different opinions mate.
    Can I ask something?
you have an anti-fascist avatar but you also have a Quote from one of the most fascist murderers in history. Is it meant to be ironic, or am I totally missing the point?

Like I said I am new and haven't even read half of what was written previously. I would like to know where you disagree with me but respect your right not to if you are knackered by days of it...............Fair do's!

However just answer me this. Should Barca be forced to wear a symbol of rememberance mourning the falange, or indeed paying respect to the winning side in the 1936-9 conflict.

Morons, we also suffer by having a very small number of neds that can't see the true significance of their actions, it effectively tarnishes the good name of Glasgow Celtic.

In a week that a minority of Rangers fans are being blamed for the riots in Bucharest it allows the " Hun Press Corp " to deflect the heat of Rangers, just watch the stories emerge in the Daily Ranger and Scottish Hun tomorrrow.

You are totally missing the point.

It's a quote from Hitler telling people the only way he could have been stopped was if ordinary people had violently resisted.

Well, for a start, the Catalans took a backseat for much of the Spanish Civil war until it became apparant that Franco wasn't going to leave them be, defense of the region was the only reason they took up arms.
The falangists were Franco's fascist army, I wouldn't respect them either and I know you will draw parallells here with the British but as I said we are respecting the English,Irish,Welsh, Scotish and even Ghurkas, who fought to give us what we have today.

Re: Barcelona, The catalans actively don't want centralised rule,I wouldn't expect them to honour the Spanish Nationalists, where as in Scotland, we moan about it but it's accepted that we are really controlled from London. point being, we are part of Britain and therefore we accept the rules.

Apologies for this being all over the place, I'm in the middle of something.:50:

Cheers, It was a genuine question, not a pisstake.

Ordinary people did resist him and eventually he was beaten, the British, french, russians Americans etc, who joined the relative armies.
EDIT: just noticed a previous poster with the same point.
