Just a little article on the referee that I found a bit worrying.

That's unbelievable and with Hamburg basically being the German Rangers I think we could be ending up with a card fest.

I watched the Hamburg Leverkusen game on Saturday and while it's difficult to judge how good they were (considering the standard in Germany is undoubtedly higher than Scotland), they looked a bit spineless in attack and had their keeper to thank as Leverkusen grew stronger as the match wore on.

Mind you, the commentator informed me that their keeper Rost has been a bit dodgy lately (so a shoot on sight policy could help) and also they were short of their star players Petric and Guerrero. The Dutch guy Elia looked dangerous and pacy but again they really lacked cutting edge and seemed to end up just pumping the ball into the box rather than any decent passing moves.

Very difficult to judge the standard of a foreign team but I wasn't that impressed.

As per this season, I want to see Brown on the bench but that ain't gonna happen. Has any player in the history of Celtic been afforded such faith despite such poor performances?

I can see a 1-1 draw, it will keep our chances of qual alive.

why do we get absoluetly terrible referees? same with scotland in the qualifiers we had a guy that was cleared of match fixing and guys who have only reffed 1 or 2 international matches.thats am amazing ammount of cards i feel brown might get sent of if he plays that is.

I don't think anything other than a win will keep our chances of qualification alive given that we will have played 2 home games and we all know what we are like away from home........

Hinkel has declared himself fit for thursday, I think fox is still a doubt though.

i don't mean to * on your strawberries big fella but i'd moderate your expectations a little - the 11 players you'll see on thursday night will be wearing green and white but thats where the resemblance to what you saw on your last visit will end.

I concur with you buddy on Barry Robson.
For Christ's sake Mhogga play Robbo in the center and don't take him off again - you hear me boss :50:
When Robbo plays we win - When he dozen't we lose or struggle
Out of twenty three games that Robbo has started for us, his record is

    Won 20
    Lost 1
    Drawn 2

That is some fucken record Barry Robson has got for us

They have all sorts of problems with injuries. Especially their strikers are all injured which is good news for celtic. :)
I think they are still a pretty good site, one of the best in germany, very strong on defense and in midfield, but they played erratic in the europa league so far. This might be the chance. If atmosphere at celtic park is putting pressure on them and celtic starts well, we'll have a chance. If they score early... :((

Still a strong site even without their top strikers. We need some gutsy performance from the bhoys for sure.

Wondering about my hole getting mustarded
I'd be reserved in confidence. I'm always suspicious of this 'decimated by injury' press campaign beofre these games - i.e. our rivals and re: the huns.

Hamburg are no mugs, and we're gonna need a Buster Gonad balls performance to beat them. They've a shaky defence, but remember we don't exactly have Messi or Etoo up front.

Mon the Hoops, and a wee prayer to St Doodas, patron saint of carrier pigeons.

Hope this is in the right place but is the game live on thursday, Ive not seen anything on it??

Is robson and nguemo really the best option in midfield? I know broony hasnt had a great start to the season but we can't lose faith in him.
Great for Robson to be back and hink!
