[PC] FM 10 General Chat

Dundee Utd had loads of players on loan. If they won the league they'd be able to sign them permanently and strengthen further since they'd be in CL group stages. Would have made it really hard to finish 3rd so I had to. They've replaced some guy (20 strength) from Benfica who got 23 goals on loan last season with Rasmussen on loan. It had to be done

Just won the league with Stoke in my 2nd season :icon_mrgreen:. I went them at the start with a view to making them an attractive passing side, and managed to get a bunch of good players on frees or on the cheap, finished 7th on the last day of the first season to scrape into the Europa league qualifiers. 2nd season, got 12m to spend, signed Doumbia for 4.2m, Villalva for 6m (18year old Argentinean wonderkid, looks to be a future world class player) and unbelievably got offered Van Der Vaart on a free. Managed to ship out virtually the entire original squad now except Shawcross, Tuncay, Faye and Diao, with the rest running out of contract soon, and brought in technical players with pace and creativity.
Starting team varies but against a midtable team it would be this, if playing a top team I swap Sosa out for Kevin McDonald or Magne Hoseth who are better defensively.

scottish or QPR?
playing as a lower league scottish team is a pain TBH

 

also, who would be a good central midfielder to sign who would be able to wear the armband, under 8m preferably

 

See that is the total dodgy thing about fm. Does that not feel unrealistic and fake? Van der vaart in the second season? Plus winning the league. Would be bored straight away like

 

yeah, i hate that in fm. in just 3 seasons with a lot of top flight teams in england, spain and italy, you can turn them into the best/one of the best teams in the world.

 

didnt they say they were going to address that in fm2011?
tbf it would get boring if you couldnt get right up there a few seasons, but it does take away a lot of replay value

cant remember. but one thing the did say they were addressing is the profile of a league, if one team/teams do very well in europe then better players will want to move to that league and all its teams.

so, for example, in fm10, celtic become the best when you go them and they just completely dominate scottish football and it becomes boring. but in fm11 then the better you do, more better players will be attracted to the spl and sign for its teams, making the general level of the spl higher and more competitive. or thats the idea anyway.

 

can anyone recomend a kepper for valencia in the first season ??? got 10 mill but ochoa is already gone to porto.

 

doing decent wae queens park into february of 1st season
got a few decent frees , got sergi the wonderkid , got liam kelly from killie on loan , barry douglas is brilliant , got forrest on loan and also signed bryan dingwall from pollok juniors

sittin 2nd 1 point behind livi , out of both cups , league cup 5th round home to dundee utd (3-1) and home to st mirren in scottish cup 4th round (2-1)

doing well and hoping for promotion

 

forst game of the season won 6 4 lol. villa hat trick. top of the league

 

dont need a keeper in your first season, wait til next season and go for joe hart who you can get for about £7 million.

In all my games I've never saw Alphonse Areola come good. I've had him a few times, too.

 

ive scored the most in league but have also conceded the most. im playing a 4 2 3 1. what roles should i have the players on ?
