Played Rapid Wien, drew away 2-2, drew at home 1-1, they took the lead. They * and moaned over the penalty I got! :icon_mrgreen:

Got Anderlecht then, they still had Lukaku & Biglia plus assorted other gems that people like to raid on their first day in charge.

Just checked out Lukaku, he's joining Genoa in a years time on a free transfer (he must have been in the final year of a 5 year contract).

Anyways, they won 1-0 at home, then the 2nd leg in Tallaght. Wasnt sure how to approach the game, was decided on a tight 4-4-2 formation, team picked out then looked at the backroom advice screen, a coach said they play well against 4-4-2 and struggle against wide formations (I would have been creamed!!). So I changed to my 4-1-1-3-1 and customed the width to very wide. I went 3-0 up within 30 mins and the game finished 3-1. Shamrock Rovers into the UCL group stages for the 2nd season running and that was without Noel Hunt (Favoured personnel after his 1st league match, bagged 4 goals!), Joey Barton & Tudur-Jones because they werent registered.

    The group stages were drawn

    Real Madrid
    Genoa (again!!)
    OM
    Shamrock Rovers

Was hoping to get 3rd but I dont see how, 3 strong sides but I reckon I should be competitive in the home matches at least.

Offer a high squad status in the contract e.g hot prospect instead of youngster. That can often get them conditional so you can loan them out for 3years. Get a feeder club in Europe, or offer to clubs and hopefully someone will take them on loan.
Anyone know if playing a youngster I already have in my squad will get him a renewed contract (He's backup atm)? Theres a young Brazilain (Gerson, CB) who my assistant manager doesn't think will get a new work permit.

    Oh no.
It's just a combination of luck, turning the home ground into a fortress and playing to your strengths.
I for example had two MF's with cracking long shots so i had them shooting all the time.

he is already down as first team but ive had to send him out to belgium to get a work permit. the guy is 24 and im raging with myself for signing him without a work permit, he got turned down the first time but i thought he may have got the appeal.

I took Bosnia to the last 16 of the world cup , germany beat me 5-3 , Dzeko finished 2nd top goalscorer with 5goals in 4games. Took the Totenham job , season 2014/2015 , Federico Macheda and Giacoma Berreta banging them in :icon_mrgreen:

Yeah I've got Ricardo Moniz for me at Metz. Don't let him handle media comments though because for me every single pre-match was a "Cagey press-conference from Moniz"

As soon as I started doing them myself results improved.

He seems to be able to handle team-talks alright though (Motivation 20) but still sometimes for the big games I take over that side as well. I think he can judge a player quite well (obviously with his JPA 20 / JPP 20)

Well 4th season down at Parkhead and is 3 in a row in the league and 2 in a row for the domestic treble. I absolutely destroyed the league and haven't lost a league game in more than a season and a half. This is mainly down to My "Henrik", Rafael Sóbis. The guy is unstoppable and finished a fantastic year with 60 goals in all competitions (40 League). He has just aout smashed all the player records at the club and hit 100 goals in less than two seasons at Celtic, cant get enough of him.

That aside, I had a dismal time in europe this year, being drawn in a group with Inter HSV and Brondby saw me finishing 3rd and then crashing out of the Europa League in the second knockout round to benfica (4-3 Agg).

On the transfer front, there was very little activity from me apart from some promising young Scottish kids in the summer and then I signed Sergio Busquets for a reduculous £650k in January to fill out my MF a bit and he has been great.

    Awards:

FW Player of the Year - Victor Obinna (Play him on the right wing and he is a *)
Manager of the Year - Me (Three in a row there now)
Players Player of the Year - Rafael Sóbis (Again)
Top Goal Scorer - Rafael Sóbis (Again)
Young Player of the Year - Scott Thompson (Regen kid CM, he is looking to be some player for me and is commanding a place in the team with some vital, classy goals.)

    Whoa picture overload :p

123 in 135 is simply.. astounding. One of if not the best scoring record I've seen on FM so - well in!
