why did broony change his boots to some sort of luminous when hes playing total * just makes him stand out even more..caldwell is the most frustrating player ever! why do people pass to him he just launches it:31: nguemo played well but got kicked of the park and also got drop kicked IMO rapid where there for thetaking in the second half and we made the subs far far 2 late dissapointing overall but we do have more important matters...like why does mcgeady wear long sleeve top then roll up the sleeve 2 where a normal top would be:97:

Very good and fast game. Very impressive pressing from celtic after the 0:1. Amazing how you played with three defenders to always get one man more than us around the ball. A clever and good approach. Celtic dominated us between minute 10 and 65. Unfortunatly (for you) there were not that many real chances.

But I must say, I was a little bit disappointed by Celtic Park. You hear so much about this ground and than for 87 Minutes just listenig to the songs of the Rapid-Supporters. Believe you me, in Vienna this will be a whole lot bigger. But nevertheless, come to vienna, support Celtic, have a great evening at the Ernst Happel-stadium and enjoy vienna before christmas. It's a very nice time to visit this amazing city.

Until then, have a good one ... and destroy the "orcs"! ;)

The one thing I didn't unerstand is, why N'Guemo was taken off the pitch. In my opinion he was your best player and we had serious trouble controlling him. Was he injured or something like that?

he got tooken off because he must have around 1000 bruises and each leg broken in4 places also a sore back from being drop kicked

pretty poor attendance i have to say we had alot of the ball but did nothing the rapid support where great i have to say mental actually..did they try to invade the pitch after they scored?

We're all confused by that one as well mate, possibly because he was on a yellow card although that's just an assumption on my part.

    Strange to say the least

Boruc 6 not much to do really apart from 1 good save from FK.
Wilson 4 no use attacking or defending, Caddis must be gutted.
Caldwell 5 not good enough against any sort of above-average forwards.
McManus 2 utter plank! he simply does not know how to defend properly.
Fox 8 did well, some of his crosses could be better though.
McGeady 6 kept trying but nothing much came off for him.
Nguemo 9 fantastic! good passing, tackling, covering and awareness.
    Brown 6
maloney 7 caused Rapid problems without ever really hurting them, should have scored when 1 on 1.
    McDonald 6
Samaras 5 we need far more than what he offered last night.

McGinn 2, Killen 4, Robson 6 has to play vs huns IMO.

Overall it was disappointing as Rapid weren't as good as i thought they would be. How many goals must we lose to stupid mistakes from defenders before something is done? We also need more of a cutting edge as our attacking play is great up until 20-30 yards out but then just seems to stop. Hard to see us qualifying now as the most points i can see us getting from our remaining games is 6(Hamburg+Hapoel at home) and even they are hardly guaranteed.

I think we're bein a bit hard on ourselves here ppl tbh. I watched the villa v rapid game a few weeks ago and believe me we coped far better last night against them than villa did. They could and shoulda scored 4 that night. Artur didn't have * all to do really apart from lift the ball outta the net after Mick's blunder. If McGeady had been firing on all cylinders we would have won comfortably, no question.

So chin up ppl, time to rip the huns apart on sunday!

we would have won comfortably, my * they had a stone wall pen turned down 100%nailed on , we was pish and deserved * all from the game , we have no * idea what to do when the ball falls to feet of any one in the middle of the park , there is no one in that side that can slide someone threw on goal , no spark no player maker no nothing , we are very average at best and this is up there with one of the worst Celtic side's ive watched ,

Is it possible for you to be any more negative holy pope? Nope. You'd think we'd just got humped 5-0 at home to a team of part timers. Fans like you make me wanna puke.

quite some antipodal opinions here about your teams performance. from "dominated them and cuold have easily won" to "pish poor etc."

just watched the game again (without biting my fingernails this time) and i thought, there were just 2 very similar sides concerning the ability to compete in europe, although with some different qualitites.

we both were highly dependent on the way the game was going and on blunders of the opposition.

we took advantage of your´s early on. then your team didn´t really produce anything until the 20th minute when you took adavantage of ours (which was heavier i have to say, beat you there!).

from that point on, we became quite shaky and you took control, still didn´t do much though. some semi-opportunities, deflected shot, dangerous ball into the box that didn´t find the striker etc. on the other end we had a decent free-kick that your GK put over the bar, nothing really special though.

right after the break we were very lucky not to concede the second goal, as you had your best 15 minutes of the game. that was the period when you really could have taken victory. but somehow, from minute 60 or so, your efforts subsided. when we didn´t get out of our half during this period suddenly we managed to keep you occupied in your half sveral times and were quite comfortable. from that time on, Celtic really didn´t do anything creative least of all dangerous anymore (alright, there was that shot on the post, when the assistent had his flag up). nor did we of course.

and that´s what i meant before: you were the side with physically strong and pacy players, but didn´t find a way of taking advantage of it, because you lack players who can create. we on the other hand were not able to do something on our own, because you were very quick on closing down our creative players.

we didn´t show the best performance we are capable of, nor did you i suppose. so i think the draw was a fair result.
we needed a bit of luck to get it, as i´m sure you will in Vienna to get a point - but not unlikely at all.

Thanks for that, quite a fair assessment really. I would go on to say though that we probably deserved 3 points although we didn't shroud ourselves in glory with some insipid individual performances from key players that really let us down.

Good honest post Wikav. I reckon a draw was a fair result. I don't think we deserved the win that we deserved ( on play anyway). Fair assessment. glad the atmosphere was good too.

you certainly had the opportunities to win it.

in my opinion though, as long as you don´t get cheated by the ref or have a cracking shot aiming for the top left corner cleared off the line by some suicidal seagull, the final result shows quite well what is deserved.

e.g. against Villa at home i thought we could have get more than one goal and away, we should have actually gotten the draw. but if two of your key players (Jelavic and Hofmann) don´t manage to get tha ball across the line from about 5 meters distance, i don´t think it is deserved really...

Thought Maloney was outstanding. McGeady did nothing, he was a major let down.
Key difference between Shaun and Aiden is that Shaun is a much smarter footballer, makes runs off the ball etc where as aiden just waits for the ball then tries to dribble past someone.

Brown played brilliant broke up lots of play and gave few fouls. Nguemo started VERY poor but was tackling everything by the time he was subbed.
    Samaras is a donkey.
Heid shouldn't even be playing for the reserves.

the REAL let down though, was Mowbray.
    Playing Caldwell. BIG mistake.
left the subs to late then made the wrong ones. - Should have made the subs 10min before he did. McGinn for Aiden Samaras for Killen and Robson for Nguemo
Instead he takes off the best player on the park and plays one of the worst out of position. * Mowbray?
