I'm not sure he wants to go anywhere, not yet.
he played well V hapoel and Arsenal.
His shooting is shocking though, and I've said that before. IF he could shoot, he'd be at a bigger club than Celtic.
Don't get me wrong, I see what you're saying - he dosn't have enough end product and for all he's good fun to watch at the end of the day he's scored as many goals(2) as Maloney on the other wing and as many assists(2) yet apparently... McGinn is kicking down the door to replace Maloney...
And you're right, we do need a new striker. Fortune is pish. But is selling one of our best playres the way to get one in? I'm not sure, because we'll not spend 7m on a striker because a 7mil quid striker wants wages we can't afford. Gettin' McGinn, Koki and Paddy more match time then selling one of them for 2m would be a much better idea.

Most of what you say, I agree with but not about his performances in Europe. I thought he was awful.
Don't get me wrong, I would be delighted to admit I was wrong, come the end of the season.

He would be sorely missed, but I have confidence in Mogga to use cash wisely.

    7million is an appauling valuation

if he was playing for an english club or a spanish club would it still be the same amount then? doubt it, so why should we settle for less.

and we would never get a player like that again, why should we have to sell, were not in debt, he is a great player, hes happy why sell? theres no need

the board would take half the cash, and mogga would just bring in some championship player anyway, so its pointless, keep mcgeady, hes brill, no need to sell

Abut 75% of the time over the last few years I would have said take 7 million in a heatbeat because he was hugely overrated, but he is showing some consistant end product right now. We already lost Naka in the summer so I think we really cannot sell him too. Players as good as Naka, Aidan and Shaun are not easy to get and I think we will only appreciate that when they have moved on.

Far too often this season McGeady has been the only threat we've held in games. There is no way we should even consider anything like the amount that some are suggesting.

Take McGeady out of the team and we suffer big time, simple as that.

We have high quality players to replace him in the squad already if he leaves, and could make way for us to spend strenthning other parts of the team not needing to worry about mcgeadys position. If it happens it could be a case of 1 step back - 2 steps foward.

We would be mad to let him go for anything less than 10 million pounds, that is the going rate for a top class winger. When you look at the barclays premiership i don't see to many better out an out wingers.

I think it will depend on how mcginn comes along,if he does well and looks like he could take over then mcgeady will go.
Other wise we will try and hold onto the guy.
In a just and fair world we would be talking 10-15 million for the guy but its the spl,get ready for the headlines of mcgeady 5 million to.....

I hope we dont sell him yet. mcgeady is easily the best talent we have in my oppinion. he seems to be one of our better performers this season and still holds his own against the better quality teams. some people will laugh but i think he is good enough for the likes of spurs/arsenal or mayb even bigger. I hope he puts in a good performance against rangers like the one he did in the cup final last year.. i think sometimes he goes missing against them- mayb because they mark him out the game. if we sell mcgeady for less than 10m we are selling ourselves short
