I never made a point about this season at all, I just agreed with what gunt said! I don’t have strong feelings towards Maloney, I just have strong feelings against people slating our own players and let’s face it, Maloney gets it alot if he’s not playing great! As ive said before, a lot of fans haven’t forgiven him for leaving and that’s up to them but I do rate him as a player! It doesn’t always have to be a competition between him and McGeady because as far as im concerned when they are both fit, they both play! McGinn and McCourt don’t come close in my opinion and Mowbray’s too by the looks of it!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

 

I wasn't slating anyone though. I just said McGeady is better than Maloney. That's not saying Maloney is *.

Just out of curiosity, who do you think has been the better of the two this season?

 

McGeady obvisouly, how can you compare the 2 of them with the amount of football they both have played? What i will say though is that i don't think McGeady has been our best player either, he hasn't lived up to his POTY form, same as Maloney!

 

But it is a fact that McGeady has been better than Maloney this season, you can't say he hasn't been.

I can't argue that he has been better this season, id expect him to be with the amount of games he has played in comparision....

Not many players have played well but id go for Hinkel and Nguemo in Europe!

Hinkel and N'Guemo have played well this season. Anyway your boring me now. You always seem to drag me in to an arguement/debate about who's the better player McGeady or Maloney and to be honest I don't really care as long as we're winning. I'm starting to wonder if you are actualy Shaun Maloney.

 

Have a wee look back son, i think you will find that you were the one that started arguments with your so called "facts" that you were spouting.....

where does it say that officially mcgeady has been better than maloney this season, the celtic website, possibly some SPL database? .. no there isnt any solid evidence, or official facts, all there are, is opinions.

personally i dont even think its fair to compare both their performances as maloneys been out injured, so to judge the both of their performances, you would have to study and analise, say their first 10 games of the season, compare both the players statistics per game, then make an all round summary and conclusion on the both of them, and until you do that, its not fact, its just opinion.

anyway, both of them have had their standout performances, both have had their bad games, but who really cares? all we want from our players, is to perform the best they can to their ability, and if they do that(which both players have done), then thats brilliant.

and just to round things up, both have them have totally different attributes, where one excels, the other doesnt.

by the way, take mcgeadys dribbling away from him, then i wouldnt be suprised if he was the same type of player as maloney, as he wouldnt rely on his tricks as much, and have to have a more team and tactical orientated footballing brain.

 

McGeady has been nothing sshort of amazing the last 2 games, his end ball has been the best it can be, 3 assists in 2 games, and id say hes found a player in nealry everyone of his crosses

 

People can think want they want, in my eyes, he's the top man at the minute

Only joking, nah he has been far and away our best player the past couple of games. Hope he can keep it up. Still a bit miffed at a few of our tactics though...
