I didn't think the first half was just quite as brutal as that. But the second half...............

I need add no more to that. The ever wise and eloquent DanniGhirl has said it all right there.

I still think Mowbray will be a success. The bottom line is he inherited a weak team, judge him when its his side not when hes made a few signings.

All his signings so far have made the team better but look who have let the team down so far Caldwell, Brown, Crosas, McDonald to name a few.

I think this will be a tough season as it is a transition unless he gets more money in January to strengthen.

the point is Owen Coyle wouldn't come. with your logic we would be better off with Bill Shankly.

FFS. Alex Ferguson would have been better, David Moyes would have been better, Carlo Ancelotti would have been better. The fact is Tony Mowbray is our manager and not Owen Coyle. Owen Coyle turned us down. So get over it!!

I wonder will you still have this opinion when at the end of this season, Mogga has won the league he is in and Coyle has his team relageted?

I do not understand why we settled on the 3 main candidates who were championship level really. At least with MON and WGS we aimed at established EPL managers who had done OK on limited resources and made it to a cup final each. If the EPL was out of our reach for managers then we should have looked abroad. Mogga and Coyle were not the best 2 management candidates. They were the best two candidates other than Moyes who were considered Celtic men. I think the board capitulated to seeking the irrational popularity that a Celtic man would automatically get and acted like a fan using their heart rather than a board using its head. I think though that the fans got what they most wanted - a Celtic man who plays the Celtic way. The board probably went that way because they saw with WGS that a guy who was neither of those things will be unpopular even if he is very successful. Well we have been there before and it frequenlty doesnt work.

Is it easier being a moany pain in the * than supporting your team?

What is it with this chronic inability to be optimistic around here. It's * depressing, and it's getting * boring.

He didn't say he was interested, his agent did.

He had less club experience than the rest of the names linked.

No club experience, no experience of buying players, no experience of dealing with players on a daily basis, no guarantee that he'd be a success.

All this so and so would have been better than TM is a load of rubbish, TM is our manager and deserves some support from us, not people calling for his head after 9 games, or harping on about how we'd rather have had someone else.

There is a difference between criticism and downright negativity, all this rubbish is the latter.

Coyle, Mowbray, Martinez were all 2nd rate rookie chamionship level managers. Not one of them should have been in the frame. If they were the best options we should have got a far more experienced European coach.

Yeah after 9 games we can say with total certainty that Owen Coyle would have been better than Tony Mowbray. Wise up for * sake.

I cannot believe what I am reading in some of these threads !!! Utter Garbage.

OK. Its been a mixed bag so far, results and performance wise, but its far too early to condemn Mogga. Yes, there are question marks, but lets be realistic. Its September. Its 9 games in, a win today would see us go clear at the top of SPL, and onr game into the Europa League campaign. Yes it was dismal in Tel Aviv, one of the worst 45 minutes of watching Celtic I can remember, but give him a chance. Time to put it behind us and look forward.

The last thing we need is to see the managerial merry-go-round that was a significant factor in the awful 90's, where we had more managers than Celtic had between 1888-1988.

Get behind the team. Hail, Hail !
