The game started the way i thought ,Hapoel going for it trying to pressure and harras Celtic which they did ,then it settled down and Celtic scored and it looked like they could go on to score more .

Someone please explain the second half ?

Dempsey i agree ,No player deserves a wage for that tonight ,disgraceful .

For those players to be professionals on mega buck contracts where was the effort, it was as if they thought they deserved to win purely because they were on the pitch in the second half.

The lack of effort annoyed me more than anything else, it was as if they couldn't be bothered, Celtic should refund the travel expenses for every fan that went to Israel, they put in more effort than the team.

Mowbray probobly had better talent at West Brom instead in terms of passing control and technique.

The squad is very poor IMO and Mowbray has inhereted most of these players and it will take time to turn around.

I cant believe people would choose Broony over Robbie Keane on the other thread.

all celtic managers are crap in CL away games. However we were pretty * hot at home until Mowbray lost 2 out of 2. Losing 3 out of 4 European games is a very poor start considering none of them are even CL group level ones. I do no think Mowbrays ideals are suited to European games. I cant see 2 last 16s in a row under Mowbray.

Managers are suppose to do the best with what they got, not play to ideals when the team cannot pull it off. Thats just idiotic

Most of the Seville team was well past their best or gone when Strachan arrived

That's pish to be honest. That squad is fit enough and talented enough to beat a lot of teams. The same spine of the team went toe-to-toe with AC Milan not too long ago, and have been beaten by some diddy team from Israel after leading.

The blame lies with the players and the manager. The quality of play was never this desperate under Strachan, who built this squad practically. The Aalborg game, we were unlucky. This game we were * disgraceful. An insult to the Celtic jersey.

8 were in the squad that night. Dont know where the blame lies to be honest Strachan built a team that could scrape by if the opposition were poor enough and Mowbray has tried to get them to do stuff that their just not up to anymore.

    It doesnt change my statement

Strachans teams managed to scrap by Milan, Man United, Benfica & Shakhtar. Hardly poor opposition

Im talking about in the league. We also got beat by Artmedia in his 1st season and Oneill went to Extra time with Helsinki in his 1st season. It takes time but the majority of the players in our squad dont seem up for the changes.

We beat the above teams in 06 and 07, If the players from Seville team were past their best 2 yearslater then the Strachan guys that beat the above sides are also past their best 2 years on or have moved on also.

"I can't fault the players' effort. I thought they stuck to the game plan very well.
"But we played against a decent side and you could feel they were building up momentum, probably at a time where it was the most draining period of the game for our team.
"But, no excuses, and ultimately over the 90 minutes they probably deserved their victory."
    * you have to admit this beats any post match comments WGS ever made hands down.
So caldwell wants to be on 20k like other players in the team after tonights performance we should demand to know who they are cause they are taking money under false pretences:31:
