Was this not just the most predictable thing ever?

What a pile of spineless * arseholes UEFA are. How the * are we ever going to stamp diving and cheating out of football when these * running our game can't even find the balls to ban a player blatantly caught cheating on camera?? It's a * whitewash the whole thing. :47:

Thats a * disgrace. How can they justify that. This now means they are allowing CHEATS to win....

I thought the people running the Scottish game were bad...Now it seem anyone running World Football can't be * trusted.

    from the uefa site

The UEFA Appeals Body today accepted the appeal lodged by Arsenal FC against the two-match suspension handed to striker Eduardo.

    'Not established'
Following examination of all the evidence, notably the declarations of both the referee and the referees' assessor, as well as the various video footage, it was not established to the panel's satisfaction that the referee had been deceived in taking his decision on the penalty.

    Decision annulled
Therefore, the decision of the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body of 1 September, in which the player was suspended for two UEFA club competition matches, is annulled.

what a load of * bullshit

It's clear that he dived but Arsenal are a big team and UEFA don't want to upset them incase they run away to a euro super league

    twats at the top

What I want to ask them is 'What * video footage are you watching??!!!'

Every last camera angle I've seen of that incident showed conclusively beyond any doubt whatsoever that the * dived. These * at UEFA clearly only see what they want to see. Even when evidence is put on tape in front of them they still suffer from selective vision.

Like I said it was a * whitewash from the second Arsenal decided to appeal.

    Raging about this. :47:

I understand why are you all * off because of this, and generally because of eduardo's diving...i feel bad because of that cuz he's playing for Croatia. BUT...how many times you saw english players diving and winning fouls and games because of that and no one gave them any kind of penalty, how many times you saw C Ronaldo diving...the biggest diver in football today, or Rooney and no one gave them any kind of penalty...I'm against diving and i hate to see that in football bu if you punish one player you have to punish every * player who's doing that *...or other way...it's discrimination if you choose who to punish...

That's exactly what SHOULD happen. If a Celtic player was shown to have clearly dived then I'd be more than happy for him to be punished.

I detest diving. It is a cancer in the game and needs to be stamped out with extreme prejudice.

It's not going to effect us lads, and it didn't effect the outcome of that tie because we were done for anyway

If you remember correctly we had our own little incident not so long ago and a one match ban is all he got soooo

UEFA just can't be bothered having to deal with all diving cases and have therefore somehow come to the conclusion there was contact

Agree that the decision was inevitable, and am not that bothered by it. What does annoy me is Eduardo's take on the incident:
Eduardo - We have finally arrived at the truth | News Archive | News | Arsenal.com

    Video suggests otherwise, mate!

It has to reach critical mass, like the use of steroids in American sports, before they're left with no choice and are forced to take draconian measures.

"There have been examples in the past - Rivaldo was punished in the 2002 World Cup after he pretended he had been hit in the head when the ball was kicked at his legs."
In September, Lithuania's Saulius Mikoliunas was suspended for two games, after UEFA found him guilty of diving to win a penalty against Scotland.

Both used footage from the TV and they got the bans ok they may have been more clear from all angles but come on tae * this is a shocking thing ever to happen in football.

Just shows that football is a * farce no matter how good celtic and the knuckle draggers do in the game it is all planned out that spanish italian english etc teams will be the only teams to have money pumped into them through tv, CL sponsors etc etc.

it's a sad day when it comes to this to see how the uefa are * *
