Oh well, hardly a great surprise yesterday-said if Paddy got a start in a 4-5-1 we'd win easily but otherwise we'd struggle. That was first time I'd cause to question Mogga's tactics- got in minute late, saw no Paddy but McGinn playing so thought 'magic, as I said if Killen is there, then decent delivery and we're laughing'- but no, Skippy playing up on his own!! The guy has attributes but can't ever play on his own up top due to his lack of first touch, disappointed Mogga even tried him there. Sammi was a joke when he came on.
Crosas did well while he was on pitch, thought Landry again looked out of touch. Loovens uncomfortble at times as when Samuels played against him.
Obviously a chance to go clear of hun was missed and it's a bit sad when our two best players at home were our full backs but there you go (next time, Tony, you play a traditional winger like McGinn, make sure you play a traditional centre forward like Killen!! Quite simple really).

Moaners here make me sick. That was a proper game of football by two good teams cancelling each other out. That is what we woudl have every week if a few more SPL teams were as good as Dundee United and Hibs. I just wish a higher percentage of our games were like that. I could live with more dropped points for more competition. Pity so many just want a turkey shoot.

I do not understand some of the stuff after this match:

Caldwell criticised but did nothing wrong other than an unlucky deflection during one tackle. Otherwise he played exactly the same as last season when he was POTY.

Brown criticised for stray passes etc even though I think he only hit one. He was out main man in midfield today and played well. Again no different from last season when he ws POTY. I really dont know what game some people watched.

Maloney- Criticised for ...well im not sure. Watch the game again. Much of the game went through him. He was instoppable and was constantly fouled. The wee man was excellent other than deadballs. I think it was between Maloney and Fox for MOTM. As usual fans have their favourites and their is little logic to it. A lot of fans just will never warm to Maloney the way they do to Aidan even though Maloney has far more end product (which is all that counts really). The next thing is going to be the same folk wanting Mcgeady and McGinn on the wings and Maloney out. Hmm....

Sammy-criticised by some but actually player well and improved us when he came on. Got a good goal chalked off too.

Basically, the usual suspects that always get criticised at the drop of a hat while folk like Aidan, OD and Artur could eat babies and some fans would still never see fault.

I though overall there was nothing to grumble about. We came onto a good game in the 2nd half after a real ding dong struggle with Dundee United in the first.

Artur-7 has been super solid since about easter last year.
    Hinkel-6.5 was solid.
Fox-8.5 quite superb in attack and defence
Loovens-6-one or two nervous moments but otherwise decent
Caldwell-7-solid and took the leaders role to drive us on
    Crosas-5.5- off the pace
    nGuino-5.5-also off the pace
Brown-7.5-thought he was good and was out only decent CM today
    McGinn-7-promising debut, electirc pace
Maloney-8.5-some of our fans are blinded by some kind of biase againt him. Along with fox and brown, he game went through him. Very intelligent play and United could only stop him by contant fouling. A better player than Aidan but fans will never give him the credit.
Skippy-6-Off the pace and offside far too many times
Mizuno-6-did fine. Some people seem to want to he was poor but he was fine.
Sammy-7-Thought he had a positive impact when he came on and I think he should get a start ASAP up front.
Caddis-6-He looked decent too when he came on.

    Spot on..

I've only seen the highlights but we looked unlucky with a few chances/decisions.

It's not that bad, Dundee united are a decent side..

Out of these 3 games 7/9 wouldn't be so bad vs DU,Hapoel,Hearts.

Wondering about my hole getting mustarded
    You beat me to it.

We decide to have digs, goals are more likely to come. Walking the ball into the net only works if you're Lionel Messi, Kaká or the whole Brazil team.

Anyone else notice that Sammy ends up picking the ball up at LB on frequent occasions? :97:

I think Mowbray asked him to play on the left wing near the end on Saturday so I guess you can expect him picknig the ball up there if we're defending...

If the SPL was stronger (say like it was in the 80s) we would have loads of very tight games like that. Its the mark of a good league and I could live with far lower final points totals in a season if the football was good. Shame we cant get all of Dundee U, Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, Motherwell etc all having a strong season at the same time. This year its Hibs and Dundee U but looks like Hearts and Aberdeen might have mares. I think its a pity that a lot of people do not appreciate that turkey shoot style league is kind of pointless.

If we had that kind of league, people would complain that there wasn't enough competition.

Mate just watched the higlights on bbc sport there, I didnt realise how blatant that was, an absolute stonewaller, shocking, the referee had a clear view and bottled it.

Sure did. But then I suppose if Rangers had a late penalty given against them and then a couple of hours later Celtic got a last minute penalty given to them the universe would probably have imploded. :87:

Suppose your right mate, plus I think the fact steve conroy has been labelled a tim, celtic man etc in the past has possibly influenced his decision.
