Umm, as its an away game I'd be happy with a point, to be totally honest! We are probably a little 'above ourselves' in league placing at the moment. Once we have the ground finished, we can look to investing in players - other than that most Pauli fans would be happy with another couple of years in mid table to be honest, a lot are scared that we don't have the cash to go up and compete and would fall straight through this league if we did!

As for RW Oberhausen, they are from my neck of the woods - NRW, near Duisberg. I'd hazard a guess that there are more pro clubs in NRW than any other state or county in Europe, although London and Moscow are probably close. I don't think they have any players you'd recognise, although they do have a striker called Gay IIRC.

I agree. I will be happy with a point. Oberhausen is dangerous. They actually have done a pretty decent job building a team that can compete in league 2. We have to hope that our defence is a little more alert than usual, especially with Thorandt still recovering from surgery.
In regards to promotion, it sure would be nice to be up in the Bundesliga for the centenial but it's not very realistic. I think we are able to finish between place 5 and 9 from what I have seen so far (any place better than 8 is great). Besides, I'm rather happy that we have reestablished us in league 2, don't forget that we have been in the third not too long ago.

    Woohoo, another Pauli fan!

I think we are decided then, we don't want promotion until the grounds finished and we can concentrate on putting any money into players, especially if we can stop our better players leaving to lower BL1/ top BL2 clubs in the summer, as has often been the problem.

    Whats your point:87:

Dont comment on the thead if you dont like it. This thread is for the Celtic fans who do like to keep up to date with Sankt Pauli. Dont derail it with comments liek that. I dont think anyone cares who you vote for.

Yeh was a good result, after yous beating Cork on friday there was a bit of pressure on. Still too far to go to get ahead of ourselves, i reckon both teams will still drop points before the end of the season. the thing Im worried about the most is that Bohs know what it takes to win the league. I just hope we dont bottle it.

    Great? Frickin awesome!

You don't often see domination like that away from home, especially as a Pauli fan. Our shooting was crap until the first goal (which was a complete mess but still ended up in the onion bag), and then after that it was fiarly plain sailing, second goal was a screamer and the third put it to bed.

So, back to the norm this weekend, as we drew 1 all at home with Energie Cottbuss, who are I think 11th in the league.

Massive match for the bhoys in brown tonight. For those of you who don't know, Rostock are big rivals with FCSP, a lot of their ultras are right-wing extremists which is obviously a big clash with St Pauli's ideology. I was at the home match last season, madness.

    COME...ON....YOU....BOYS IN BROWN!
