Things are still looking very good to me. Kaiserslautern were my bet to top the division, so I don't think there's any shame in losing 2-1 to them.

Just keep up playing with this kind of character and it's Bundesliga I next season.

Then maybe HSV get relegated for financial impropriety - happy days. :56:

Unfortunatley it seems all good things come to an end, and we've just recorded our third straight loss, to Bielefeld of all people :54:

Weds was encouraging though, we looked to be very good on the counter and really tested one of the better BL1 defences - had Naldo not played a scorcher we may well have got something.

You might be interested to hear about the 'incident' at the Werder game then. I believe the security came down a little heavy handed on a lass that fell unconscious. Next thing they knew half the Pauli end were against them, and they had to call for backup from Polizei!

:56: haha good stuff, serves them right. I heard something a while ago about werder bremen having a huge ruck with a load of nazis, what are their fans like and what would st paulis relationship be with them?

( obvious still rivals, I dont believe there can be friendship between teams in the same country/league but surely from what I know about St pauli fans yous would have alot of respect for this?)

Yeah theres been a couple of instances of Werder fans being very anti-* lately. Firstly there was an incident when a couple of nazis tried to show a pro-* banner in the stadium - and got run out the stadium by a large number of fans, lots of chanting against them etc.

Recently a very small section of their ultras - four or five guys I believe - had a massive fight with a similar sized group of German soldiers that were off duty, as the soldiers were displaying pro-* tattoos...although this was nothing to do with the football, more politics.

I think it's fairly difficult to say how friendly the two clubs are, or what is called 'fanfreundschaft' - fan friendship. Certainly we have this with other sides abroad with notorius leftist support, such as Celtic, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Livorno - and I certainly see it growing with Werder fans, although for us that are English based this may be because a lot fo the same bars in the UK that show Pauli are also frequented by German Werder fans living over here. Also, we both hate the H$V scum!

Back to the updates - great win for us yesterday (3-1 against 1860 Munich) sees us in third place behind Kaiserslautern and Union Berlin...

    johnnybhoy -

Watch it with the 'English' mate! I'm from NRW originally, but moved to the UK around 18 years back - my family is pretty much all Germans and Scots, although theres a couple of Irish relatives as well! FWIW the Scots all seem to be Hamilton Accies fans!

    Ronancfc -

I've always put it down to the relationship between Rangers and H$V actually. Other than that theres a lot made in Hamburg of the fact that we are both 'rebel' clubs in our cities, as opposed to the 'establishment' clubs, i'd guess you'd agree with that (I hardly see any bowing down to the crown on this board!). Pauli fans also certainly respect the way that Celtic fans seem to stand up for themselves, especially politically, like very few other clubs in the UK.

Thats definately one reason, id also put it down to the left wing mentality of both sets of fans and Im not just talking about the ultra groups. In general talking to the majority of fans of either team you would easily notice a left wing mentality.

most people are well aware of Sankt Pauli antifa and anti racist stance, add that to the fact that Celtic were formed by immigrants to alleviate poverty in a largely immigrant part of Glasgow who were not always made welcome and I think you have it in nutshell:celt_2:
