Based on what you think overall of what Scott Brown brings to the club, would you keep him or sell him if a decent offer came in?

If we receive anything like the figures being quoted we would be foolish not to accept them.

I think Mowbray is well in tune with the fans as well actually, he realises Mick is not good enough, we needed a left back and a striker and I honestly believe he knows Brown offers very little in terms of passing, assisting or scoring.

Keep him. I don't feel we've got enough strength in depth to be letting him go.

I'm in favour of selling, as I don't feel he fits with our new (but actually traditional) style of beautiful, inventive, passing football.

But I don't think now is the best moment. I'd keep him another 6 months to a year, wait till the time is right.

Everton are preparing a £6m offer for Celtic midfielder Scott Brown.

The 24-year-old Scotland international was earlier this month linked with a £10m offer from Tottenham Hotspur.

It is understood that Everton had been approached by an agent offering Brown and Celtic defender Stephen McManus but said they were not interested.

However, having missed out on other targets, they are now poised to make a move after watching Brown facing Arsenal in the Champions League.

Brown, who was in the Celtic side that lost 3-1 at the Emirates on Wednesday, was bought by Celtic for £4.4m from Hibernian in 2007.

Everton and Spurs were thought to be interested in Brown at that time as Celtic beat a host of clubs, including Glasgow rivals Rangers, Bolton Wanderers, Middlesbrough and Reading, to the midfielder's signature.

Celtic reportedly turned down a £9m offer from Portsmouth in January.

But economic conditions have taken a downturn and the Scottish Premier League runners-up recently announced that their profits had halved.

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp this month admitted that he rated Brown, who ended the season as the SPFA Players' Player of the Year.

However, he played down suggestions that he was interested in signing a player who was also named among 14 players on world governing body Fifa's "ones to watch in 2009" list.

Brown, who won his 17th cap in Scotland's World Cup qualifying defeat by Norway, had recovered from a disappointing first season with Celtic during which he had to cope with injury, suspension and the death of his sister.

Like Brown, McManus missed the start of this season through injury and the Celtic captain has just returned to training in time to be linked with a move away from the club.

Celtic are believed to be willing to sell the 26-year-old or allow the Scotland defender to leave on loan, with Ipswich Town thought to be leading the interested clubs.

if we sell him we will be struggiling in all our away games he might not score or assist every week but he wins the ball before it gets to the defence bullys midfeilds and drives us foward. Lose him and we wont be able to find a replacement without paying crazy wages

IMO Brown is a point in his career where he has to decide what type of player he is going to be to be. He simply dosen't cut it as an attacking midfielder, and as much as he and others like might like to think of him as a box-to-box player, he offers little in the way of cutting edge at the oppositions end of the park.

Personally, I think he should try to develope his game as a defensive midfielder providing a supporting element to attacking players going beyond him. This will require a huge amount on the training field to work on his passing abilty, which is quite frankly, appauling. At the moment he has very little other than physical attributes going for him.

I feel his value is depreciating by the month and any bid around £7M (I said above this previously) should be snapped up.

    £10m = sell.

    Buy a CM + CD £5m each.

I am sure he could be easily replaced for 5m and to get a good solid defender for 5m would be an added bonus.
