I can't believe some people are still giving him stick after scoring his first goals, how is he supposed to win you over if you slag him for not scoring and then slag him when he does score?

This 'it's only St. Johnstone he should be scoring four or five' is complete cack.

My thought exactly, spot on, mate.:50:

People have criticized him for not scoring in pre-season, against Dynamo and Aberdeen. And, of course, against Arsenal, when we usually bang goals and I'm still wondering how he didn't manage to score.

He played in England, in WBA. He done well there and persuaded Mowbray to sign him even if the price is 'high'. He obviously done enough to persuade Mogga to bring him to Glasgow. I trust Mogga and I will have faith in this guy.

As for the price... People * about his price constantly. Why? Can't understand it. "3.8m is a lot of money for Celtic to pay". We have a lot more cash and we can spend a lot more 'till 1st of September. For 3.8m pounds people expectly what you said. Hat-trick every match and 2-3 assists. *, Rooney, Ronaldo, Torres and others don't have that kind of record!

And why are people moaning about him scoring against weak side? SPL is full of weak sides and I can expect more goals from Fortun'e. That's not a bad thing, maybe only in eyes of some negative people.

Fortun'e will be a good player, I assume and I will ask all of you people if he's good or not when we finish this season.

Ok so he scored against a diddy team with 2 goals that anyone would of put away and really should of had a third but lets just wait and see got a good few more games before I think we should be calling for his head.

I bet he scores a screamer against the gooners

I get the feeling it doesn't matter want Fortune does, he's never going to please some people on here. He could score 2 goals a game and the critics will still find something to moan about.

"Finding a cure for cancer" is generally a pretty crude way of saying someones done the impossible. I'm surprised you've linked it to anyone you've known with cancer, no disrespect to you or them.

He's not *. Few bad games and good performances in recent years don't make player *. He just has a wee crisis, that's all. And instead of criticizing him, show some support. If he doesn't get support from his own fans, what can he expect from others!?

And that part where you said rating him if he was playing for Rangers... I would rate him, as I rate some of their players from their current squad and I'd honestly like to see some of them in our team if they haven't signed for Rangers.

That's just par for the course though.
If he scores against Dundee United at home it'll be "well, he can't do it away", then it'll be "he can't do it against the huns", then it'll be "he can't do it in Europe." And even if all that happens, it'll be "well he just doesn't do it enough."

People who just want to * and slate players will always find something.

    * *, you'd think he'd scored 7 own goals the way some of you are going on.

What exactly has he done that merits this type of negativity?

He scored 2 at the weekend, doesn't that put to the rest the whole a forward who doesn't score bull crap.

IMO i think hes going get stronger through out the season, and prove you all wrong :50:

maf brings more to celtic than goals.his movement that drags defenders where they dont want to be hence creating space for our midfielders to get in on goal.i hope this lad could be a really good signing for celtic, just dont judge him on goals scored he brings more things to the team

    Exactly!! :50:

People just don't understand. They think striker, he has to score at least 20 goals or he will be a flop and a waste of money. They don't see that our wide midfielders are scoring more goals because of Fortune drifting out wide and dragging defenders with him to allow McGeady and Maloney to come inside.
